Brady makes it official.  We might have to wait awhile to see his records broken.  I may have to see that from another plane...

For his era (00s thru yesterday) he is the best quarterback to step onto a professional field with consistence and accomplishment.
His records will stand as long as the current structure of the game exists and until someone lasts 23 years at his position with the year-to-year excellence that he exhibited.
 cheers

With his wife and kids and money and good health, it is a good decision for him.

He can have no (honest or reasonable) doubts about anything left unaccomplished on the field.

The cyborg megolodons on the defensive lines (and linebackers) are not getting any smaller, weaker or slower and he doesn't need to play with (or be a target for) them anymore.   Grin cooldude

Any mere mortal regular guy of good health would crap his pants taking 4 snaps for drop-back passes across from any blitzing pro defense today.   Shocked  (except maybe the Lions)

He probably will escape the CTE that so many of these players will contract and die with as the years roll onward.
His egg didn't get scrambled much in 22 years and so why risk it any longer?
The guy is one intelligent cookie to walk away with his mind and body intact.  Agreed. Cool

smart move on his part he gave it a go this year and so close to another superbowl.  Although he has gotten to the big dance so many times, he knows after this year it is very hard to keep going back and back and back......etc., etc...

He has other 'businesses' in the works and will do fine without football to keep him busy.  Am sure his kids are sorta happy he will be home and not gone all the time, especially on weekends, at least until they get to be age 16 and do not want to hang around 'the old man' any longer wanting independence and the keys to the new car they will probably get once they get their drivers license. 2funny

be interesting if Aaron Rodgers goes to Tampa Bay would not be a bad idea although him and Suh do not like each other...

Saw this.  Maybe a divorce announcement is coming next?   2funny
With the cash he's raking in, she'll learn to live with it even if she would like him to retire.

I was pretty sure he didn't want to go out on a losing note...

He probably got bored/upset with his probably demanding wife at home and decided he be better off taking hits in the game instead?   Roll Eyes

I probably woulda stayed retired as most of us would have seeing as how he is set financially for life very easily.
