Heck, if given the chance I'd go just say I went...

Much better deal than the prices for a Superbowl ticket!

To each their own.   If it's something you enjoy, go have fun.
Personally, I wouldn't buy tickets or attend and fight the crowd if my team was in the Super Bowl.

I've been to two professional sportsballings. Both of which were paid for by my employer. (I guess in a way everything I do is paid for by my employer, but you know what I mean.)

For the first one I was able to make my mom's dream of seeing the Cowboys on Thanksgiving come true. I didn't care for the sportsballing, but the spectacle was interesting, and of course making my mom happy always makes me happy too...

For the second one I was a top performer or something and was given access to my employer's luxury box suite thingy, with special parking. Evidently the parking was REALLY good, it was so close they had to do a bomb sweep of my car before I was allowed into the up close parking lot.

And once again, the sportsballing didn't interest me so much, but the free food in the box suite, the spectacle of the thing, the half time show, and making the spousal unit happy by allowing her to briefly live beyond our means was very nice.

And should my employer or anyone else ever wish to provide me with free tickets to a sportsball, I will happily go and enjoy the experience.

First, that's a pretty lady.   Secondly, I've been given tickets before to "sportsball" events and gave them to another more appreciating person.   But I did accept VIP tickets to the Indy 500 once, even rode the bus with the Governor of IN and several US Senate and House Representatives.   Had a police escort there and back.   Wouldn't do that again if I was paid to do it.

I guess I haven’t paid attention to a Pro Bowl in some time. It was pretty pathetic. There is better contact with girl’s flag football. But we watched a great set at the Rio Comedy Cellar.  cooldude

If you're at the Rio, you gotta see Penn and Teller!!!

Many yrs ago I quit watching pro football when they made the tickets higher than I could afford.  I cant even tell you the name of the teams. Then the players put the last nail in the coffin when all that anti American sentiment started with the kneeling and refusal to stand for the National Anthem.  I lost all desire to watch a bunch of millionaires throw a football around. Still like going to my grandkids football games.

I agree.  I doubt I would attend the SB even if I was given tickets.  I
would sell them and buy a truck or a couple more bikes.

The Rio was my fav place in Vegas. When I worked in Vegas spent tons of time at that place and stayed there many times. Have not been there since the late 90's though.

I wonder if you even stayed the entire game till the end?  I watched about 10 minutes and is about all I could stand on TV, what a joke.  Definitely better things to see in Vegas am sure even if I never been there.

Much like what you just witnessed; watching the NHL All Star Game this weekend was just an exercise in entertaining the fans who probably paid mucho bucks for a seat in the Las Vegas thunderdome.  The place is all glitz and glitter, the music in nothing like the organ songs that I grew up with (rap and electronic pulsing), and showgirls in the aisles.  Los Wages does it like no other.  Kiss
No contact, 3 on 3 hockey; basically pond hockey with the pros doing trick shots and everyone trying hard not to hurt anyone else.
Just a skills exhibition with the goaltenders as easy targets. Tongue

I enjoyed the NFL game of the '70's, '80's and '90's. Today's game is not to my liking. Seems more and more like the WWF. This may be because of my age, I don't know. I was once a big sports fan of the NFL, MLB and PGA. Now I watch nothing but The Masters.
Sickening the cost of a ticket to watch MLB & NFL. Then they(most of them, the NFL owners) hold cities hostage to build new venues for them. Tax payers paying for billionaires hobbies/businesses. I refuse to contribute to this. I was a fan of the Cleveland Clowns and got gut punched. That was the beginning of the end for me.
I often wonder when it will reach the tipping point where it is no longer sustainable in the current format.
I've contributed enough negativity for the day.
