In the news this morning…..

With the upcoming vacation season coming up….
Airfares expected to go up 7% PER MONTH for the next 3 months
Travel expenses (I assume includes hotels) to go up 5% PER MONTH for the next 3 months.

This news coming after two days ago in the news they announced that gasoline is going to take a sharp rise in the next few months

On fixed income a nice spring vacation is going to be hard to do.

I know what you mean. For the last 5-6 years we have had at least one to two of the 3 of us that rotate on call ether out on medical leave or bing fired leaving me the only constant employee. The third of our on call is due to come back in to rotation the 14th. Gas prices sky rocketing, shortages of products and people willing to work I now, hopefully, can take a 2 week vacation. Last year I had a 1 week vacation planned at the end of April and had 2, 2 week vacations planned then we lost our third person the last week of April to medical leave. I managed the 1 week trip the rest were scrapped.

not too worried about hotels and airfare since do not do much of either ever, but the GAS going up has already happened up 15 cents in past 1 week or so.  That sucks now over 3 bucks per gallon once again with the low being during start of pandemic took a pic could not believe my eyes was for a few days .99 cents per gallon - WOW,  not seen that since the 80's.
