I know I will get all kinds of HATE about this but is there a really good reason, besides a zombie apocalypse, to have more than 10 rounds?  I guess though if in a self defense situation where more than a few burglars came into my house,  I would need more than 10 rounds though and should have a right to own more if I felt the need.  I would be the ONE person needing 11 rounds not having that last round to hit a robber in my house.

I know I am glad that both my mossberg pump action shotgun and old 30-30 winchester lever action allowed 6 bullets vs. only 5,  getting a few running deer in my lifetime needing that 6th shot, but never over 10 rounds needed. 

It does not take that much longer to reload another 10 rounds during target practice, but can see more than 10 rounds if needed to feel safe in a self defense robbery situation.    You know the BAD guys will not adhere to the 10 rounds so why should legal citizens have to be?

Yes.

At a bare minimum, we are entitled to the same magazines (and arms) carried by our own police and
military.  Or the Second Amendment means nothing.  Rights are rights, and need has nothing to do with it.

You think of a couple robbers in your house.  Think of an urban area with widespread (and wholly unchecked) rioting, looting, rape, arson and murder, with hundreds burning every house in your neighborhood.

Bad guys almost never act alone. It is common that in case of home break-ins that there will be 2 to 3 perps in action.

It takes 2 to 3 bullets center mass to stop an attacker.

Add the adrenaline factor and your precision will halve (there are studies were cops are able to get only around 40%-something of the shots in target in case of a gun fight).

All that considered, it is easy to see the need for *standard* capacity magazines instead of the castrated 10 cartridges mags we have here in Cali.

What Jess said.  The Second Amendment does not mention magazine size or caliber, or.............   It was established to ensure we, the people, had the ability to stand against a dictatorial government.

Not the point.  It's death by a thousand little cuts.  Or to put it another way, Think of yourself as a frog sitting in lukewarm water.  Hey, it's just a bit warmer than a few minutes ago...  The lefties (some) have actually admitted that any small nibble they take out of 2a, "It's a good START."   Give an inch, they will TAKE a MILE.  It's such BS in the first place.  Their premise is if they take away the legal arms, that will stop criminal shootings.  Disarm legal owners, yeah that's the ticket.  Criminals will obey another law, note how they obey existing ones.  And how liberal DA's prosecute them.
