One more turn should do it!

Thought you guys may get a chuckle out of this. If you have not already seen or heard about it. Hudson, Ohio is a small very wealthy community about a half hour south of Cleveland and 15 minutes northwest of Kent, where I live. I especially enjoyed watching the council president who is sitting to the right of the mayor, his reaction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NWnD-6uT4c

Well, maybe the activity he's concerned about is just a way to ensure those fishermen are warm and cozy. Ya know, sharing body heat............ I mean really who's to judge?

Every time I see or read about ice fishing shanty comedy, I think of Grumpy Old Men. Where I grew up on an island in the mouth of the Detroit River to Lake Erie (with 7 knot currents), it was common place for giant football field size chunks of the ice to dislodge, and begin floating out into the lake, with a dozen ice shanties and fishermen, fat dumb and happy. And the coast guard had to rescue them, but not their shanties.

I suspect the Mayor has carnal knowledge of such debauchery. Thus his position. I'll bet he's got the best shanty on the ice too.

When requesting a variance for your ice shanty so it can have a revolving door with valet parking, there may be some concerns.

Tsk...tsk, no masks and no social distancing. One of the deacons at my church has a winter business of providing shanties for ice fishing. Wonder if I should ask about warming methods provided!

How would he know this While I’ve never been ice fishing or been in an ice shack the answer seems quite obvious, the first thing I think about with the idea of being on a frozen lake is stripping down and hopping in the sack for a quickie.

I agree this is quite funny. However, anyone with any experience with quickies (or the process in general) knows that you actually get a much better result (and range of motion) if you get outside of any sack first. This reminds me of a time far away and long ago when I tried to get lucky (or as lucky as I could) in the front bucket seats of a Karmann Ghia Volkswagen (my first car) at the drive in movie. There was no sack, but the confines of the small auto (and especially the gear shift and emergency brake) were arguably worse than any sack. It was quite cold outside (similar to ice shanties) and the 440 heater was running full blast in the little space behind the seats. Things were just getting interesting when the heater shorted out or something and burst into some pretty impressive flames (with sparks). Quite startling indeed. The cord and heater had been fed through the pivoting-only (maybe 5 inches) rear window, so I had to jump out of the car and pull the flaming thing out the window by the cord, trying not to break the window or get burned or electrocuted (and before the car caught on fire). It fell to the ground still flaming, attracting the attention of others. I wanted to turn it off but touching it seemed ill advised. This put a big damper on the monkey business. And sitting there watching the movie I began to wonder if this had been a sign (and warning) from the Almighty that my morality was seriously lacking (and flames could be my eternal reward). It's not like those things exploded into flames all the time. My salvation aside, I decided I needed a bigger car.

Fortunately he doesn't run anything. He is just ceremonial position with no authority to do anything except make stupid comments; which apparently is something he has done many times before. So much so the council is looking at sequestering him.

What is this "quickie" of which you speak? At my age there's no such thing...regardless of the endeavor.

What is this "quickie" of which you speak? That's what the young priest assigned to a new inner city parish wanted to know. He took daily walks around the area, and these younger women kept asking him if he wanted a quickie for $5 every day (and giggling). He wasn't sure what they meant, but always declined. So finally he called in mother superior to his office in the church and asked her what a quickie was? And she replied.... five bucks, just like in town.

wow-eee, I am taking up ice fishing ASAP if I see that out there ever. I think somewhere I saw a youtube video of hot babes on ice, fishing with bikinis on, might have to do some more researching on that for sure. I would do my best to keep them warm...

Ever think of taking up ice fishing in heated shanties since you live so close to Green Bay and Door County/Sturgeon Bay where the ice if plenty thick (in the bays) and the fishing is plentiful? You already have a deacon at your church for the shantie and portable propane heaters are dirt cheap inside a shanty for warmth. You always say is too cold out and cannot wait for WI winters to end, just trying to pass your time more so in boring cold winter here in WI.
