I just noticed on the calendar as I was pouring my coffee, 1 year since I buried my father today. Heading out to the garage, kick the tires and light the fire...off to Bushnell. I'll be poking around Nobleton, Croom, Lake Lyndsey down to the dumpster in Brooksville, lunch then home.  I'm sure I'll run into some of you out there today. Perfect day for riding motorsickles Semper fi dad cooldude

Same here Doug...if you're in a car. Finally got up to 8 degrees by 10:30am. When I go to the gym I first spend five minutes in the tanning booth, not to get tan...to get warmed up.  Grin  Here's hoping next winter is different. My daughter and hubby want to rent a house on the Gulf coast next year about this time, take it for at least a month and split the cost with me...giving me 2-3 weeks down there. Might have to tow the trike down with me.  Wink

John that sounds great, good time of year to visit, although you already know that. Keep me posted as the year progresses.

Florida National Cemetery: Located in Bushnell, Florida

This place is so pretty in spring /summer when in full bloom and green grass. Everything is dead now (no pun intended) in a couple weeks it will be in blooming again. Still one of the nicest cemeteries I've seen. Deer and turkey everywhere and the deer eat the fresh flowers on the graves. They know they are safe and have no fear of humans, they don't even flag and run.

The crows were making a racket, reminded me of hunting with my dad as a boy, seams we always heard the crows in the woods.
I wanted to ride to the Lake Lindsey Delicatessen for a good deli sandwich for lunch. It was closed. Off to Brooksville for a Coney Island hotdog. I spotted this Ford truck on my ride home. Nice job, but not too nice, still a work truck. Deisel engine, external fuel tank, steel bed and can protection, toolbox, airhorns. Looking good cooldude

Doug, the Lake Lindsay Mall and Deli has been closed for a few months. The signs have all been taken down, and I believe that a new business will be opening there in the same (renovated) building in the near future. No idea what it might be. That Old Ford truck has been sitting in that same location for over a year. I always admire it when I ride by, but haven't taken the time to stop and look it over.

Yeah Don, I enjoy taking a break on the front porch and talking motorcycles. Sandwiches were decent too. I hope they don't change it too much, I enjoyed the rustic look, especially at that prime location. I can get to it from while riding from North, East, South, or West from it, super location for a break. The young Cowgirls in the big trucks with their boots was just a bonus cooldude cooldude

I have photos of many of the Florida bikes I've owned there. Been passing that truck for a while, turned around today to take a peek because I could, one of the benefits of riding alone. Just a nice day poking around without a time schedule or riding in a group.

Sitting on the porch taking a break from the heat was kind of peaceful.

Doug, I have only stopped there 3 - 4 times, and only sat on the porch once, and had a sandwich there once, over the years. I go by there almost every time I go to the Dumpster, as the route is the most enjoyable. I have a strong tendency to avoid congestion and stoplights whenever I can. On my route there, I have one stoplight 3 miles from my house, and the one at SR 50 by the Dumpster. I also don't take many pictures.
