I am planning a trip and the wife wanted to go along the Florida Panhandle were we stayed some years ago for a family vacation.  I have the tripe planned but actually needed to put more miles between stops.

So, I was looking at taking Florida route 361 from Steinhatchee, FL towards Fish Creek and then up to Perry, just becuae I could.

What I was wondering, what kind of road is Route 361, quality, rural, well paved, full of pot holes??? Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sorry, I have not traveled that road in 20 years. I'm not qualified to answer. Undecided
Hopefully someone from that neck of the woods will chime in.

Thanks.  I am just trying to add some more miles to the days ride.   Will keep an eye out.

Again, thanks for the reply.

I have never been on 361 but it looks pretty good shape on Google maps. Not much in between but
brush and woods. It's only ~50 miles.  cooldude

"Most" Florida roads are in good shape. Try it!
If you do not like it then hop on another.
If you plan on being around the little town of Suwanee by all means stop in to the Salt Creek Restaurant. Can't miss it as it is the only one there! Bill's Fish Camp has nice clean lodging about a block from there as well. Doesn't look like much but the folks are first rate and take care of their rooms.

It's been a few years since we stayed in Steinhatchee and the roads are just fine. Take the trip and enjoy yourselves.

:cooldude:The last time I was on 361 was in 2018 I believe. It wasn't bad, but that was before Hurricane Michael went thru too Huh? Maybe they weren't effected that far west in Big Bend coolsmiley
