Isn’t this prime riding season in your part of the world? Getting any time on the bike?

I’m old, lazy, and slow. (And sadly, a few family issues have gotten in the way)

Thank God, I thought it was just me.

Old, check lazy check, slow check. Two years remodeling 2000 square feet here. Maybe you just need a kick in the ass, I’m sure you could get some volunteers! Grin

Family issues “trump” (see what I did there?) everything. Hopefully things  will improve as the year rolls on.

I was hoping it was just "Moving at the speed of "I'm Retired"". Hate to hear about the family issues, hope that's settled in a positive way soon.

Rob,

No advice here... I do have great confidence in your ability to figure things out and do the right thing, though... even if 'the right thing' turns out to be standing aside and allowing others to fail. Your heartache is not foreign to any of the rest of us, and your lack of a clear direction to proceed is typical of the situations we all frequently find ourselves in...

The foundation of values, beliefs, logic of life, and sense of right and wrong we develop over the course of our lives are often the only things that can point a way forward for us into the high-stakes unknowns of life. From what I've learned about you over the years, I'm confident your well-developed conscience will allow you to realize you've done all you could have... Good luck to you, my friend...

Thank you, that is very kind of you. I’m not sure I am near as able as you give me credit for though. It’s interesting the things I’ve discovered about myself. I have become a little mellower, a little wiser, a little more forgiving in my old age. But at the same time I’ve discovered I’m more set in my ways in what I know to be right and wrong. I guess the Chinese would describe it as a ying and yang.

All good traits that I am experiencing myself. Your comment about knowing what is right and wrong is what I call my  BS meter. I’m also at a point that I’m spending more time in Bible study with my church and a group of men I respect. Finding a lot of answers to my issues and routinely getting my toes trampled, but it’s all good.

I too have been blessed with the ability to fix or repair just about anything. Both blessing and curse because when it comes to family I try to fix it and my wife tells me you can't fix people. For some reason I always try and usually it does not turn out well.

If you can’t fix’em you can always be the best example you can be. I had great roll models growing up and I still would mess up but it was a lot easier getting back up with those memories

That is correct however my logic sense always delved into fixing and people are not logical.
