Greetings,

Proud new owner of a 1998 Honda Valkyrie (blown!).  I'm 39 years old, been riding for 25 years.  Started on sport bikes and now ride all styles.  I live on Kauai, where there is not much road.  We have a 1/4 mile NHRA drag strip which I currently drag a 09 Concours 14.  I want to race the Valkyrie this year.  I run high 10s in the C14, hoping i'll be somewhere in the 11s on this Valk.

I am so amazed by this motorcycle.  It is the best sounding bike I've ever owned.  I am a Honda lover, owned many different models (CBR, VFR, VTR, RC51, NT650, etc) but this one is extra special.  Has such a rich feel to it, sounds like a 200k sports car. Evil

I just can't wait to start it up again  Grin

Any Hawaii Valk owners out there?

Nice to meet you all  cheers

Welcome to a great group.   You'll love it here.

Think'n you should hop on an airplane and join us for InZane in Billings, MT.   I assure you, the only thing better than seeing a parking lot full of Valkyries and all your friends is riding with those same friends on the back roads and highways of this beautiful country.   Well, there is that great feeling you get blowing an HD away at a traffic light (not that I've ever been tempted), I have heard about it though. Wink
I sincerely hope you are able to join us.

Edited:   Oh yeah, if you're so inclined, let me also invite you to come to our Mississippi Spring Fling.

Welcome, always wanted a blown Valkyrie. Those have been reserved for a select few, congrats. Never been to the islands, but maybe there is still time!

Welcome. Hope that bike does well for you over there. Do a lot of reading on the tech board especially on care and feeding of the rear wheel final drive and U- joint. Yours needs to be right.

Welcome, I have ridden all over Kauai since I come to Princeville about every other year for 2 weeks and have rented a Harley at the local dealer there. Would like to have rented a valk but non avail. It only made me appreciate my valk more. Been coming there since 1985 and slated to be there in Feb of 2023. PM me your info and will look you up when I am there.

I've owned no less than 20 Valkyries over the years. Each one of them special and each one customized to my own standards. Last time I was in Maui I had to rent a Harley to ride. Not fun! Next time I come to Kaui I'll have to look you up. Such a beautiful place to ride. Congratulations on your ride. It's pretty special to be able to own one on the islands. I'm sure that's not something that happens a lot.
