The wind is really kicking in central Kentucky. Took a 40 mile trip to check out a bike dealer in Mt Sterling Kentucky this morning. Lots of bikes out today and the weather is glorious compared to what we had last month. The cross winds were really pushing me around. You could relax a little in the low spots, but when you topped a hill, hold on! The bike took it all in stride and didn’t add to the drama.

I hope everyone had a chance to get out for a ride today.

Not in Wisconsin but we are getting lots of rain now so it’ll be a few weeks before we can ride,

Today was the last good day here too. Thunderstorms for tomorrow and more rain Monday. I haven’t looked past that. But knowing that, I pulled the wheels off the Wing this afternoon and will have new rubber mounted Monday! Front tire was worn down to the wear bars and the rear has a nail in it Shocked .

Got a not so nice surprise when taking everything loose up front. Previous owner(s) broke the mounting ears on the rear half of the front fender, and one of the bolts was gone. I’m surprised that I didn’t notice anything while riding, meaning no rattles ect. I’m not much on rigging repairs but I may put a little thought into how I can avoid buying a new fender.

I have lived most of my life where the wind does blow.    Riding in the wind is normal.  But do draw the line when it starts getting over 25-30 mph.  Just not enjoyable.   Though riding with the wind is not bad.  Once in WY went out for ride,  the wind came up blowing sideways to me.   I was riding at a lot less MPH then normal and leaning maybe 20 degrees into it just to keep going in a straight line.   The Semis were also going a lot slower and their cabs were also leaning.   Thankfully the wind was on my right side so the big trucks didn't effect me when they passed.   2funny
