After riding for 60 years I sold my last bike today.
If anyone on the board wants my ramp (makes it easy to push bike against the wall) let me know. Pick up or I can meet you half way.

I'm sure you've made lots of great memories over your 60 years of riding. That's the important thing.  Wink

You don't have to give up riding if you really enjoy it. Go to three wheels. There's no shame in going from two to three Ron. I did and can't beleive what a difference it made for me. We got 90 year olds riding Spyders in our group. I will ride untill they pry the saddle from my cold dead a$$.  cooldude

Thanks for all the comments. Bottom line: The bike was getting too heavy for me and although I did contiplate 3 wheels (Poaris Slingshot) I realize that everyone I use to ride with has reduced their riding time OR moved south. I just don't have the enthusiasm to ride anymore. The last 3 years I only rode 6 times.

That time is going to come for all of us unfortunately. I enjoyed the rides we did over the years and appreciate your contributions to the VRCC. Hope you still continue to post pics etc.

I have some old photos as well, this site frustrates the hell out of me trying to post pics. If you send an e-mail address to garyndebi1@gmail.com I try to send you a few as well.

Relish in those 60 years of riding Ron, not everyone is so fortunate.
Thank you for making the trek up here to mid cost Maine...Glad I was able to show you parts of Maine that at the time were less discovered....
Stay healthy Ron...

It's a tough decision for sure Ron. Being an older guy myself and having restrictions, I totally understand when you say you lost enthusiasm, and I think Covid added to that as well. People sick, places closed, so you get in a different groove. The main thing is that you and the Mrs. are well. I thoroughly enjoyed all the rides I did with you over the years and if you change you mind at some point, I still have 2 bikes in the garage ready to go..  Take care my friend..

Congrats on making a big decision and leaving with the rest of your life (and body?) intact.

I think I could really use this for my wife’s bonneville. Send me a message! Thanks
