sorry, no motor, just pedal bicycle.  My old 20 year old schwinn 21 speed still works o.k., but seat upgrade not as comfy as I like and handlebars having to bend over not as upright as I like.  STOLE IMO a 24 speed Giant Sedona Large framed bike he said new was 550 without upgrades added got for 200 bucks today him asking 250 cash.  Upgrades was a Serfas GEL seat 2 springs on bottom with shock absorber frame under it, saw on amazon.com is 95 bucks new,  60 for a rear cloth luggage carrier, and 15 bucks for 2 LED clip on lights both front and rear.   Heck,  his upgrades alone were 170 bucks much like a HD rider spending 20K on a new HD now worth 10K used.... LOL   Grin

Guy was a HD rider and was 6' 1" and 350lbs. and made me look tiny.  He ONLY rode the bike 2x's and just sits in  his basement last few years.  Even has disc brakes vs. normal rubber pad brakes and front adjustable shock absorbers never seen that before either being clicker adjustable for front shocks firmness.  Tires are pretty wide my old Schwinn tires I thought pretty wide at 26x1.95 this like new Giant mfg. tires are 26x2.30 wide.

Good news is wife can ride it AS-IS as well and even likes it better than I do I think.  Once on the bike with seat lowest setting possible and handlebars lowest height possible since LARGE framed works well for both of us.  ONLY drawback is for me VERY VERY hard to get on/off since does sit up too tall for me to lift my bad hipped legs over the seat.  Wife at 5'5" can get on/off better than I can able to lift legs OVER seat easier than I can.   Seat will not go lower since like said is LARGE framed my 5'10" height is made for MEDIUM framed bicycle.

Maybe this bike sitting more upright now easier on back, arms, and especially comfier seat on tush will convince me to ride it more often this spring/summer and loose 30lbs. so I can get hip replacement surgery?  Can no longer walk longer distances and bicycle riding is easier on my hips than walking less weight/pressure on the hip joints pedaling sitting down vs. walking.  ONLY issue is getting on/off the darn thing hips not allowing my legs to bend that far up over the seat and higher frame in front of seat.  I use the curb at home to get on/off it much much easier.

wife just told me she will be riding my bike now after work still at home awhile longer once it warms up in April.  I guess I can ride her Giant women's bike at least that is super easy to get on/off having no mid-bar as high up in front of seat but has skinnier tires although 27 inch tires vs. only 26 but is a nice bike got used as well for 100 bucks about 6 years ago.

Funny you say that, the Mrs and I got new bikes yesterday. 2 Schwinn single speed cruisers. She’s moving along nicely from her hip surgery and this will help. Her old bike didn’t fit her quite right and I tossed my old bike several years ago.

glad wife is doing well after hip surgery, my turn next hopefully goes well AFTER I attempt to loose 30lbs. before Surgeon said will do surgery due to BMI over 40 now.  Thus, reason why I got a NEW more to my comfort liking a more upright handlebar bicycle.  We enjoy biking since have 2 crushed gravel bicycle/walking trails nearby and all over WI are decent bike trails that are not heavily used either that we want to do for the first time.

Single speed cruisers are o.k. for level hard pavement with most having good handlebar upright placement,  but do enjoy and a must to go thru the gears so as to not having to STOP and get off and walk the bikes uphills.  Even on crushed gravel level bike trails,  is a must to at least have IMO 3-7 gears.  My old Schwinn had 21 gears overkill and this one has 24 gears to run thru, even more overkill.   I did yesterday when 30 out and 20 mph winds go up our steep hill in easiest gear and boy oh boy,   I think I could darn near go near straight up a mountain in lowest possible pedaling gear.

I have been on facebook marketplace and craigslist trying to find under 800 bucks an e-bike for both of us since not willing yet to cough up the dough for 1500 or so for a new e-bike.  I found one women's one about 1 hour drive away worth considering for 500 bucks is older though pedal assist motor ONLY in the rear gearing no separate rectangular battery compartment.  Not sure worth it and consider it cheating if you will since the batteries ONLY last 25-30 miles of useful life while pedaling some and I can still go 15 miles easily just using my own pedal power.

My ex-neighbor bought a brand new e-bike who now lives in yuppie Madison and am 99% sure he will never use it much at all in the big city.  He said went about 12 miles ALL POWER no pedaling and was not much power left and he paid 1600 bucks new.  Yah, he could go near 30 mph which is super fast on level pavement, but at what cost?  I guess o.k. if in a hurry say to get to work or needed to get back 3x's faster?
