lively was great call

Mom has one, will be 90 soon, has a button and also fall detection

Do not remember if it has gps (in case your mom wanders)

I put myself down as person to notify if bill not paid

My MIL uses a Lively Jitterbug phone (such as she can use it to some extent....).

Bill comes to me, and I can log into her account

I signed up for one for my mom some years back after she fell and hit her head and had residual vertigo and issues for months.  She lives alone, but very close to family.

Before a year was up and she was better, she cancelled it and told me thanks but I don't need this thing anymore.  (90s)   Smiley

I really can't remember many specifics (Life Alert), only that I had to pick and choose among options, and I didn't need everything they sold, just some of it.

I also recall that mom set it off by accident twice, and the monitoring company did what it promised and started a contact with family both times.  (It had not occurred to me to actually test them by setting it off on purpose at least once, and maybe it should have.)

My Aunt has a button on a necklace that she can mash
if she falls... it is a good thing and has worked for her
numerous times...

Years ago I looked into specializing in upgrading homes for older volks to be able to live at home longer as age takes over.

One of the devices I learned about was a detector that would fire off if any object larger than a turkey hit the floor.

Sounded like good protection if someone passed out and was unable to press a "help me, I've fallen and I can't get up" button.

I had the alert for My mom when she lived alone some 80 miles away.  Seem to work pretty good.  Her phone system had a problem, the alert folks couldn't ping her, so they pulled the plug.  4 guys showed up at her front door to see what the problem was. Kind of shocked her.  Yeah it worked for her.

She also had an alert system when we moved her into the local assisted living (it was an in house system).

So get it for your Mom.

Yeah, there is an in-house device on a lanyard in MIL's assisted living / memory care. The issue will be getting her to WEAR it ....

I pretty told my Mom that the condition of her living along was that she had to wear it.  IT Worked.

great idea I would for sure get one if you know they are 'capable' knowing to use it is the key.  Mom with altzheimers would never push that button not remember to if she fell down ever.  She would be like what is that around my neck or just take it off anyways not wear it if left alone at home past 4-5 years.
