My plan is to die young...at an old age! So far...so good. cooldude  No special celebration, just went to my daughter's place for cake and ice cream(OK once a year per my primary care dr.). All the inlaws and outlaws were there, played some table card games, sneaked bits of a couple cookies to my little great granddaughter...will be 2 in August. Love watching her develop physically and intellectually. Real active, loves to try and copy while watching either her mom or grandma dance, wiggling her little butt and hips quite well. Cracked me up watching her try to imitate a dancer twerking on TV, did better than granny actually.

I've been blessed in many ways, but have also paid a dear price in some areas...some from my own doings. I still have excellent hearing, apparently enjoy good health which I watch carefully following my near death experience 10 yrs. ago which some of you may remember. Have good strength/stamina from using the gym three times a week, and a rather amusing item...I have a fairly full head of wavey hair that gets comments from a certain group of church atendees. I just smile and say thank you! I sleep well most nights and still never get up during the night, been that way my whole life but the clothespin makes it rather sore some nights.  Grin  Looking forward to the trip west in June and seeing a bunch of old friends.

Looks and sounds like you're living LARGE!   Such celebrations are good for the soul.

Surely there's video of that child and granny twerking.   That's got to be a memory saver!!

You are blessed my friend. It’s great you have family close by to celebrate all life’s milestones, even though you have to endure some extra cold weather! I may have missed any update, have that reverse engine setup installed and working?

John, ran into a bit of a snafu that is involving replacing a gear which will be as involved as repairing hydrolocks. I'm gathering parts to do the job and figured while I'm at it I'll rebuild the clutch(68k miles). I have it sitting on a hydraulic lift table which makes it very convenient...I can stat seated and work on it. But for now, I'm laying that project aside so as to prep the trike for the trip west in June. Needs new tires, rear brake pads, fork oil...and time is running short. If it would only warm up then I could get all that done and still have time to mess with the motor.

awesome at 84 for sure keep up the good work staying fit and healthy as long as possible sounds like you are doing great.

no worries,  after this sucky rainy week,  looks like next week is THE WEEK to get the cycles out of storage finally a consistent low 60's for temps hopefully, unless the weather gods change the forecast yet again.

I have to get the snow tires off 2 vehicles though ASAP first this weekend and let sit another one until I get time following weekend to take them off my car vs. both kids cars this coming weekend (and oil changes).  Always something in the way of me riding seems like on the weekends.

this winter, IMO, has had the LOWEST snowfall total ever that I can remember only about 5 total snowfalls of shoveling each time 2-4 inches is all not bad at all.  Guess really no need for snow tires really here in WI anymore???

2 of my 3 vehicles have near new snow tires on them so wanna get them off since heard much past 55 degrees eats away the rubber pretty quickly very soft rubber compound on blizzaks.

Happy Birthday, I am so happy for you things have worked out and made a place that you can be happy in. I know its not what you planned and sometimes we dont know what is in our own best interest or even how to get there. Bless you and your family and glad to see you here and posting and doing the things you like to do.

Dennis, you and Ross have met Toni. You also know she doesn't have a filter sometimes but finds it amusing to hassle the old man about his juvie activities as she and her sister call them; i.e., riding the motorcycle. Wink  Deep down she admires me for being active & independent...unlike her mother. She's on constant call for her, I help out at times...we're not ememies but now she's paying for an early lifestyle.

Happy belated birthday John! I know it's become somewhat cliche, but I hope I'm still converting O2 to CO2 at 84, much less still riding..... An inspiration...

Yes, I remember that time, was 2010...seems so long ago. I remember a lot of the names that posted but are no longer part of the group for various reasons. Some, like Laser Pat, kinda tug at ya!

Thanks to all the well wishers, it is appreciated.  cooldude

Matt, funny you should mention that. My oldest granddaughter still lives in Florida and tells me she thinks I'll be riding my trike to that age also. In fact, she says "I can see it now...grandpa at 95, doing 95, on I-95." I hope she's right...assuming the trike will do 95 safely.   Grin

PS: She also rides!  cooldude
