If anyone is going to the Thunder over Louisville festival this weekend you will be entertained by my son Jason’s F15E planes. He is from the Seymour Johnson Airbase in Goldsboro NC which is the home 4th Fighter Wing, 335th Fighter Squadron aka Fighting Eagles. It looks like there will be a very impressive display of all types of aircraft there so enjoy.

A very cool display of aviation, both aircraft and skillful pilots.   There's somethings ya just have to seen in person to appreciate.

We have been having thunder over our house for the last several weeks.  Turns out that the SC National Guard moved some F-15's from its base near Eastover, SC to the Columbia Municipal airport.

So, for the last three or four days we have had several low altitude flights of F-15s over our house every day.  Very low, less than 5,000 ft but then I have no real way of telling, just a guess.

Cool thing is with a flight of four, at least one almost passes directly overhead.

I love the name of his base Seymour (seemore) Johnson.  Sorry, just my juvenile sense of humor.
