Christ first and always

Richmond, Kentucky

« on: April 20, 2022, 02:59:37 PM »

Beautiful day here in Eastern Kentucky so after doing some chores I had to get on the bike. Well, east, as I have the western part pretty well covered. I needed to try out the gps on the bike, with the Dragon Weyr coming up why not run by the Lil Abner Motel. No four lanes were jumped on even though one route would have, could have been 75% of the ride. I’m surprised to learn that it’s only 60 miles from my front door. On two lanes the last 20 miles or so we’re pretty congested with traffic and a lot of 35 mph speed zones. Not a surprise to many but, Natural Bridge State Park is just a few miles down the road which I knew was in the Red River Gorge area but I didn’t realize it was that close to me and I’ve lived here for several years now.

So maybe 150 miles this afternoon of pure joy being out and enjoying God’s handiwork and I’m sure I will return with some grandkids and family later on this summer or fall. Coddiwopple maybe a stretch.

John,

Congrats! I struggle mightily trying to reduce to mere words all that goes into a ride such as the one you just took... even more so attempting to describe the elation and sheer joy felt! I hear ya, though... That very feeling you're enjoying is certainly worth the effort to get out yonder and let 'er rip! See ya soon, my friend!

Well John,
Hoping to coddiwomple up your way in early to mid-May but, we'll have to see how that works out.   Too many irons in the fire to make that promise yet.
