Can anyone post a picture of where the oem bag guards hook up on a tourer?  where do they bolt on at the front and rear?  It would be very much appreciated.  Hoser

hoser:

One goes on the top shock bolt.  One goes below on the front bolt where the bag mounts go,  and I need to look where the back one goes! One goes under the bag mounts, and you use a longer bolt where the rear bolt is in the bag.  You need washers or a spacer on that one, then a nut.  LOL  Same on IS as std.

I will try to get a pic tomorrow.

No pic, but I believe you can go to the shoptalk link/page and there are instructions for the OEM Hondaline bag rails with good graphics.  Hope this helps you.

good pics,  you need a longer bolt on the lower front attach point, and you need to remove the u shaped rear barn and replace with a piece that has a T instead of elbow. You can see it in the pics.

How does it work with a hitch? I wonder if the ebay oem versions will work with a hitch? I ain't spending a $1000 on a oem set. I had MC Ent but removed them cause the hitch was in thw way. I know Painter and Po has a set on there bike tho.

Look at hubcapsc's pics.  The one on the bike shows a hitch on the bike, so yes, a hitch can be used with the OEM Hondaline saddlebag guards!  Thanks, hubscapsc, I was wondering that too!

I think I have those pictures because those are the rails I bought several years ago. I'm looking at that picture now, the bags, the rails, the
fender extender, the radio, the hitch... I'm glad I don't have to change the rear tire on that bike!  Smiley

How do they fit with the hitch? With my hitch I was unable to use the chrome bar that is behind the tire.I had to make one to put back on my SB supports. It was about a inch wider then the oem bar. My hitch had no spacers so I had to find my own. Maybe I got to long of ones. Wonding if it would change how the sb gaurds fit.
