I had seen this term used in a few peoples posts( DDT and Serk to name a few ) and being unfamiliar with the true meaning I was forced to dig into it.
Coddiwomple: To travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination.
What a great word. I'm looking forward to future coddiwomple opportunities. cooldude

It reminds me of a bumper sticker that read " Not all who wander are lost "

Coddiwomple

I thought that was something you went to the dermatologist for to get cut off your nether regions.   Grin

Similar to a barnacle, only worse.

This is a new word meaning to me thus I done some research. The word cattywampus 1st. came to my mind when I read it. Now I know two oddly spelled word meanings!  Smiley

Catawampus

This word sounds like something that belongs in Harry Potter, but catawampus (sometimes spelled cattywampus) is a fixture in everyday Southern speech. It describes something that's askew, awry, or diagonal, as in "we tried setting it up straight, but it ended up catawampus."

This one I know well!

Cattywampus has been part of our lexicon as long as I can remember.
