I put a set of Monroe air shocks on my bike. A little adapting, but seem to fit nice. Is there any reason not to try this? Motorcycle air didn't have enough capacity. These are rated for 150psi. Let me know if there could be a problem!

Just spit-balling here, but it would seem to me shocks designed for car weights might be stiff as hell for bike weights.

But if they can be adjusted way down, who knows?

Are you going to go Darkside on the rear tire?  Evil Seems like the next logical step if the shocks work out. Good luck  cooldude

Which Monroe shock did you use?

My brother has Monroe air shocks for a 63-64 Corvette that he replaced his OEM air assist shocks with on his Road King.  Says they're great.  Seems they're the same shock that was put on the 2015 Road Glide which is what my son has.

I may look into a set of these for my blacked-out Supervalk. It already has a custom compressor/bleed system for its 416 Progressives.

Looks like it would be easy enough to do, the modifications needed are minimal. I may do this at some point as my rear shocks are getting tired. I'll likely mount an air fitting in the trunk and throw a little more air in when riding 2 up. This video is about the way I had planned, a portable compressor and cigarette lighter in the trunk near the fitting would be easy and convenient for on the road adjustments.

The lower mounts had to be narrowed about a 1/8 of an inch. The top rubber mounts had to be drilled out with a 3/4 step bit to install the right size steel bushings. I left the top mounts the bigger size, used longer bolts and cut the bushings to the right length. Changed the bushings with a vise and assorted sockets. I finally got my air lines today. Will report back on how it works.  If it works on a Harley, should be awesome on a Valkyrie  :-).
Fleet farm seems to be the best price. They had a 50 percent off sale. $38

After I got the air leaks stopped. They worked out great. With almost 600 # of big boys on the bike it only cuffed the tire slightly going over a RR track marked with a bump sign. Had the shocks set at 110 psi, they can go to 150. So far I'm very happy. I'm also running a tall Austin tire on the back.

I bought a bunch of parts for Valks from a couple that had sold their Valks. In the pile is a brand new pair of air shocks. Size wise they look like a perfect fit. Did not look at the mfr.
