Hi does anyone know what size nuts go on the muffler section that connects to the motorcycle. Taking off the Jardines(soon to be listed) and putting stock exhaust back on it. Thanks in advance.

I had one fall off years ago.

I found two correct regular nuts, snugged them up together (locking), and they've been fine.  Greased the few exposed threads.

In back where you can't see unless you lay down to look.

I have an aftermarket tool kit that contains jumper cables, extra tools and a few sundry items. There's also a bag of OEM small parts that commonly fail or go missing. Among these are a couple of those acorn nuts and one for the muffler hanger itself.

Kickstand spring and stuff to fix your petcock is also advisable along with a few stainless M6 and M8 nuts, a few washers for each. Maybe a vacuum cap for the intake runners that use them. Spare fuses. A spare bolt, shoulder washer and flange nut for my Bat Wing's windshield.

Etc.

The kit is stashed in the saddlebag of whichever Valk I'm riding. If I was running a bagless bike I'd make up a similar pouch of parts to keep in the OEM tool kit area.

Thanks everyone - I went to the hardware store and found 8mm acorn nuts. Love the stock exhaust - I can hear myself thinking now.
