He's been working in Aspen... he slipped on the ice and broke his leg.
That's all I know for now.

Sending prayers Damon!

Update:
He broke both the tibia and fibula (lower leg bones) in his right leg.
He is probably going to surgery tonight.  Then he has to stay off of it for a couple of months.

Thanks for posting this, Connie. I was going to put up something when mom gave us all the info.
She just got off the phone with dad. The breaks were in his right leg and he's going into surgery tonight. If all goes well he should be on his way home tomorrow or Wednesday, and can't be on it for about 2-3 months. Mom was going to go get him, but I think my uncle is going to bring him home instead.

Thanks for thinking of him and sending prayers!

Atleast you broke it during the winter and not during your riding season, you'll be all healed up by the time the snow melts and the winds warm.  We know you'll be in good hands, especially with Lil Bit there to help take care of you.  TxDeb and laserpat

Hey Damon ole buddy.

You didn't have to go to that much extreme to get attention.

We would have settled for a little bump on the noggin instead.

One of the guys at the garage did the same thing 3 years ago at the garage.  He was off of his leg for 3 1/2 months totally.

2 more months he spent in Physical Therapy almost everyday to rebuild the muscle back.

Every once in awhile we will see him slump like he is going to fall, he says the leg acts like it is going to buckle, so pay attention to the Dr. do as they tell you and don't be trying any heroics, or you will have a few people at your house helping Lil'Bit make you behave.

Now, seriously, prayers and thoughts are being sent that the surgery went perfect and you will heal perfectly with no pain.
Thoughts and prayers also being sent for the family.    See ya somewhere on the road this year.....

I'd offer to come help, but I can't get away from my O2 for that long of a period of time.

Man O man! Not too good my friend. Tell you what! Now's your chance to score big time! Remember, a little judicious whining and you'll have the entire Kinter clan eating out of your hand.
What am I saying! I've been a guest at your home and heck, they already take waay too good 'a care of ya!
Take it easy and heal up properly.
