Spent three weekends in a row at a big High School parking lot
teaching my Son how to ride. He just got interested in riding a
few months ago and after finding a bike he is now hooked.
Today was our third ride on the road and he is doing well.
Started early today to beat the heat and rode a little over 100
miles before taking a break in front of Shaggy's Good buys store.
Got us a drink out of the vending machine and sat on the sidewalk
for a few when I looked over at the bags on the pallet that was
next to me. Daddy Pete's Plant Pleaser at Shaggy's Good Buys store....
I got a kick out of the store and product name. If Scooby would
have showed up it would have been a complete day. He is still
telling me his Magna is nicer that my Valk but he will never win that
debate plus I just tell him mine was 1000 Dollars cheaper than his.

It is for sure. Took a while for him to catch the riding bug at 24.
Every time I talk to him he says Dad I am ready to ride.

I also think this is great.   cooldude

Has he taken the MSF?  (most bike insurance gives 10% off with proof of completion)

It's a good class (though I've seen some less than stellar instructors, most are good)

I've taught a number of people to ride (and instructed an Air Force version of MSF).

I taught the wife (who had never driven a standard shift anything).  It was almost a year before she took the MSF (winter off), because I wanted her to pass.

How come the whole class is inside that damn box?

Because that's the hardest riding there is dear.

Those are memories both you and your son will not forget.

A question if I may; how do i post a large picture at the bottom as you have on your posts? The little avatars are so small at the left you can hardly tell what/who they are.

For sure on the memories. I have been waiting on him to get the riding bug. Knew it had to be in his DNA. On the picture I use Postimages. Click share on the picture in Postimages then click on hotlink for forums that copies the link. Go to your account page click on forum profile information then paste it where it says signature. Scroll to the bottom and click on change profile and it will be at the bottom of every post you make. Also when you post the copied link from postimages on your signature you don't have to do the img brackets it is ready to go from postimages.

Thanks, I have a Postimage account so aware of that process, just didn't know how people were able to show a larger pic like yours. Want to put my trike on there.

EDIT: Let's see if it worked.  WOOHOO! Not that I'm proud or anything.  Grin
That oily spot under the trike is from my son-in-law's work beater van, definitely not the trike. He's already ribbed me about that, said a picture is worth a thousand protests.  Wink

cooldude  Nice trike. All of my pictures on my Postimages are from my
cell phone. They all come out that size when I put them in the Signature.
