Lots of LED headlight bulbs out there with high output, but are there any that have the LEDs placed properly to produce a decent light pattern with a well-defined low-beam cutoff line? I don’t need super high output; I just want to know I’m not blinding oncoming drivers.

Check these out from Cyclemax. They're really good LED bulbs and are reasonably priced.

Single bulb for Valk and Valk Tourer: https://cyclemax.com/inc/sdetail/new_style_pathfinder_led_h4_headlight_bulb/167424/358844

Two bulbs for Valk Interstate:

Closest one I've found is the Rivco offering; bought one from them at one of the IMS events in Cleveland several years back. Even still, I ran incandescent bulbs in the spots with my LED headlight for better fill lighting.

Ran across a set of Daymaker spots at last year's Mid Ohio Vintage Days for a price I simply couldn't refuse. That evening I found a matching headlight unit (black colored) on FleaBay and made 'im an offer...

Used Josh's bracket to install the headlight. I had to design EMI suppressor circuitry for both spots and headlight unit (search the 1500 Tech section for my posts on the subject).

The above being said, I simply won't go back to anything else up front - incandescent, LED or HID alike - and will probably convert both taillight and turn signals to LEDs in the near future.

I got a black daymaker too. Blegghh  Wink ... but it is still a good light. I used the Josh bracket too. And, after reading
here about "beauty rings", I bought a cheapo Harley headlight bracket and robbed the beauty ring
from that and it fit great. The OEM headlight has a beauty ring to rob too, but at the time I didn't
want to limit my options on putting the OEM headlight back on.

Check out SLK lights, they make a direct fit daymaker for the Valkyrie. I installed one earlier this season and I’m very impressed especially for the price of $97.00 shipped

Sylvania standard Silverstar. Very durable as I had almost 60,000 on my 1st. one that was in 3 different bikes. With the Valk reflector they really light up on high beam as I worked 2nd. shift for 12 yrs. Silverstar Ultra is even better but doesn't have the longevity. I like the natural color of halogen over LED. Deer are corn fed in my area thus the population is abundant.

On a note, PIAA are good but longevity might be like the SS ultra.
