"Been there several times Charlie . The last time we was there they said the ol'woman that ran the place was not doing good. She was on Good Morning America a few years ago. Alot of the Nascar teams and drivers always make a point to go there to eat when they roll into Bristol."

Joe, she has since passed away. One of her sons runs it now I think. It's still as good as ever !!!

Here in metro Detroit and less than a mile from my house, there is one of the finest Mexican resturants ever!

I's called "El Monterey"; the food is absolutley fresh and fabulous,...steak fajitas for two contains two pounds of steak.

Plus they have one pound margaritas for $1.99 all day, any day,....yuummm! (I try not to drink, but for $1.99, we've known to stumble out)

On the west coast of Lower Michigan, nestled between the dunes, lies the town of Holland and every time we go there (or even near there) we always stop at the 8th Street Grill for their Corn Chowder.  If ya'lls coming from points south or west and riding to Inzane, I recommend stopping there and sampling some.

...my favorite hamburg joint in Michigan is Clyde's Drive-in, in St. Ignace Michigan...if your coming to InZane X in July its worth the 100 mile ride to Clyde's....

Get the Big C Burger you won't regret it ...but be prepared it's huge....

What about Pastys up in Copper Harbor?? Surely the Michigan Misguided can help me out... we always used to go to the UP after Christmas, and this place would close for part of the winter, and open the 26th or something... best Pastys I've ever had!

I'll just about travel anywhere for good BBQ! Superbowl weekend, my wife & I with 2 other couples traveled  to Memphis, just to eat at the Rendezvous. One of the best BBQ places in the world.

You may be speaking of the Tamarack Inn...it's right on the corner as you come into town....they are known for their Pastys along with a good menu of good home cooking....if I remember correctly Sat. special is meat and rutabaga pastys....
