Non Valk mechanic referral needed

So as the title says this is a request for an auto mechanic but in the Alexandria, VA area.

My son moved (in w/girlfriend) from Maryland to Alexandria about 7 months ago. He was and still is on a work from home basis. His car has not been driven. Long story short…he had it taken to a AAA service center just to get the car to pass VA inspection and they hit him with a ton of “extra” work which isn’t necessary to pass inspection and get the car titled and registered.

His g/f is from Alexandria but her father usually takes his vehicles to dealership for service, I don’t want to go down that road until last resort.

If possible I need a good regular full service mechanic with a shop and equipment not an oil/lube place.
