I can’t believe you posted that!  Now there is proof that your bike isn’t ALWAYS clean. 2funny

Just messing with you Josh.  It was great seeing and riding with you.  I’m glad you got home safe.

I was at a car show this weekend. I was told to wet dryer sheets to clean off the bugs. Then go over it with your detailer. Have not tried it yet but will at a later date.

For bug removal, Fresh, I mean new bottle fresh, Hydrogen Peroxide.

It starts to slowly degrade when you unseal the bottle.

Always worked well for me and safe on everything.

A soaking wet (water only), half wrung out microfiber cloth as soon as you get off (before they dry any more than they have), does a very good job with no chemicals at all.  If it gets really bugged up, rinse, squeeze, repeat.

In bug season, I carry a folded wet one in a plastic sandwich snap top container (mainly for the shield; I don't like riding looking through bug guts).  I use only new or newer ones on the shield, older ones are OK for the rest.

Then you can towel off the wet with a dry cloth.

Or just do it the easy way and use a power washer.

While on the road I keep a pack of these and a very microfiber towel for cleaning shield or whatever bug infestation needs to be gone. Available in other brands but the purple coloration of the packaging is kinda color coded to all brands. $3 for a pack nowadays @ Walmart?
