I don't know if anyone knows but Cycle Club of Fort Worth is having their annual Long John Run on 2/21/2010. It's a Sunday if anyone is interested. It would be nice to see a bunch of Valks this year. Ride Safe, Billly.

Why is it called the long john run?  Are you supposed to ride in your long johns?  Or is it named for one of their group members?

It's suppose to be cold (ha ha) so you wear long johns and they have a long john contest for men and women. But you don't have to take part in the contest you can just watch and laugh.

I'll be there for sure, just trying to figure out if I am going to wear long johns or not.

We usually eat at Denny's because they have selection and everyone can afford it and there are a lot of them . There is one on Camp Bowie not far from where the ride starts and wewill meet about 8:30 then ride over and start the ride. Billy

Well it's almost Sunday, I hope to see some Valks there. There was a good showing at the Turkey Run in November and if anyone wants to meet for breakfast with my group at Denny's on Camp Bowie in Ft. Worth you are more than welcome. Billy

Made the Long John Run and mine was the only valk (what happened to TX Wolfman???). I met Ronnie and Debbie at Denny's for breakfast, they where on their Goldwing trike. Due to the weather misting rain etc only about 17 bikes showed up and they delayed the start for about an hour. Despite all that I think a good time was had by all. Everybody got a price or two except TX Wolfman Smiley he did show up I just have to give him a hard time. Grin

I will never live this one down, telling every body about the ride and then not riding, but my wife would not let my son ride because of the rain and I had to make a quick decision, make my wife happy or make the ride. I don't know if I made the right choice but I think long term it was best. It was nice meeting you T.J. I hope to actually get to ride with you some time, congrats on your winnings youngster. Billy
