Yup, remember the day very vividly.
We had a guy who rode a bicycle for the Western Union. Gas was rationed at the time.
Back then when you saw him headed up your lane, you knew they were either dead or wounded. Didn't know till he got there, but mom sensed it and went into hysteric's. Dad's brother smacked her and she came out of it. That runs through my mine a lot anymore. Then my Uncle and I went and put up hay. I got to drive the horses on the hayrack.
