Rivco Central Stand: what spring should be

Hello.

I've bought used Rivco Central Stand, but it doesn't have a spring.

Could anybody tell me the length of the spring? I will try to find something like it from the Goldwing maybe or from other bike...

You can purchase the correct spring from Rivco. It's about $15....

The first one is down, the second is up.





I am not ambitious enough to take the spring off for a completely non extended photo. But in the up position the spring is close to its uninstalled length. I stuck three or four or maybe even five washers in the coils to install the spring without having to try to stretch it during the installation.

When installing the spring, bend it and with the coil links open, place coins in it. Bend one way, coins, then the other, coins. This increases the length. Then install while the stand is up. Lower the stand and all the coins fall out.
