I was on here last night and I was reading a post from a person who said he wanted th take apart and clean his stock semi-sealed headlight. Said it had an insect smashed inside it.

Several people suggested he upgrade to an L.E.D. unit. and another suggested Eagle Lights. So I looped over to their web site and discovered they have a 4th of July, today only special of 20% off on the Valkyrie units.

Some have Halo on them which is an illuminated L.E.D. ring that encircles the head light. Gives it more bling. The discount they are offering, is pretty significant. $50 bucks in my case.

I ordered the Chrome unit with the Halo. Retail on those is $324 which they sell for $249 regularly. They gave me another Independence Day discount of $50.00 and I was out the door for $200. The Indian L.E.D. upgrade on my Chieftain was in the order of $400 when I changed it over. So $200 is quite a discount from the list price.

This deal expires today sometime so if you are wanting a better than stock option, here is a really good deal. I also posted this sale info on his thread but I thought I would post it here too as maybe more of you might see it and want this deal before they take it down.

Here is the link. https://www.eaglelights.com/products/eagle-lights-honda-valkyrie-led-round-projection-headlight?variant=12799906087025

These guys also have the retrofit L.E.D. turn signals for the Valkyries both front and rear. I would assume a load resister would be needed to get the flash rate  correct. I'm sure they have those as well if they are required. I switched my 2013 Victory Vegas over to L.E.D. turn signals (Kuryyakin silver bullets) and I had to install a load resistor to slow them down. These units from Eagle Lights may have the resistor built into them? I didn't look close at them as I may not keep the stock signals on my Tourer restoration.

The first time you ride at night (away from city lights), you will be impressed with the light pattern, low and high beams. I changed mine a few years ago, and would never go back to the stock light. If my current one eventually fails, it's back for a replacement.

No need for resistors, all you need is an LED flasher (for hyper-flashing) and a diode (for bleed over at the indicator in the bucket)... both reasonably priced at SuperBrightLEDs...

I just converted all running lights (headlight, tail light, blinkers) to LEDs.  I used the Eagle blackout headlight.  Very easy and high quality.  I did a custom install (bobber project) of a BlasterX tail light and blinkers from CustomLED out of New Jersey.  I did not have to use any load resistors.  I did install dual diodes-to- blinker-indicator-light-to-ground, and I installed their blinker genie product so I could retain the running light feature on the front blinkers.  A hand-drawn but simple and sufficient diagram of the diode install is on their tech blog tab, and the  linker genie is just as straightforward EXCEPT that you must jumper the driving light wires behind the headlight (orange-white and blue-white) together on Honda blinkers for the blinker feature and running lights to work. I was impressed by CustomLED products AND tech service personnel.   And that bobber has some super bright lights now!

Yes! So sorry I omitted the flash relay.  I got that from CustomLED as well.

I "halfway converted" both of my Valks:

The I/S is fully LED except for the headlights and spot lights. Those are in the cards a year or two down the road.

Tourer's head, spot and instrument lights are LED, as are the bulbs in the I/S trunk it now wears. I'll probably convert the turn signals and taillight at some point.

The other recent conversion is my 2012 Concours 14. It got Auxito H4 headlights (replacing the previous HID setup I'd been running), turn signal and license plate light bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs. Also got a solid-state flasher from them.

That bike also has add-on lighting: Up front is a set of Clearwater Glenda fork lights. There's a police radio top box aboard it now, replacing the passenger seat and rear rack. It came set up for mounting single Whelen 0S and LIN3/TIR3 - series light heads on the sides, while dual LIN3/TIR3 mounts are at the rear of the box. I used reds for side markers and red/yellow stacks for extra brake/turn signal lighting in the rear. A Badlands ILL-01 does the brakelight control duties while the electronic flasher I got from SuperBright handles all the LED signals with ease. The license plate bracket also sports a couple of red 0S markers.

Now to design a set of bag rails for the Tourer and I/S that'll let me mount Whelens on the side and rear of each.  Cool

How did you bob your rear fender? Can you post a photo?
