A great actor.  The accolades are there and will be remembered.  I liked his acting.

Few know he was a man of many talents, one of which was rodeo team roping.  When I was a youngster, I had the opportunity to see him at our Cattleman's Days rodeo.  Can't remember if he was header or heeler now, but I'm pretty sure they didn't take first prize that year (third I think).  He was very down to earth, and took the time to meet and mingle with the dumbfounded local crowd.

Might want to update the link.  When I click on it I get the following message.

Did you mean: El Dorado (1966 film)?

I think the ")" is outside the linkie.

And one of my "FAVORITE" movies by the way.

I blame the board software :-)... I surrounded the whole thing with a url tag
(including the errant parenthesis ) and it seems to do right now...

One of my favorite actors, he was good across all the genres.

Too many of his movies to list which I liked and can watch anywhere any time.

Thanks for all the memories.

He was also in the TV series Las Vegas. He ran a casino in Las Vegas for a few seasons. Tom Selleck took over for a couple seasons.
