Can someone tell me the I.D. of the fuel line, #15 on this diagram? Last time I put my tank back on, I apparently kinked it, because it's a bit too short. Because of that, it takes many hours for my belly tank to fill, if at all, as it is the air vent for that tank. Also, because of the belly tank, I won't be measuring it - taking the tank off is just too painful, just to put it back on and order some hose. Tx, Rick

What belly tank are you referring to? You don't mean the regular gas tank? Where does this hose in question go to and from?

I tried pasting the link, but it seems to have come up empty: https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/motorcycle/1998/gl1500ct-a-valkyrie-tourer/fuel-tankThe belly tank is at the bottom of the frame, behind the transmission. It fills from a large line added to the bottom of the main tank, assuming the air can get out of it. Holds about 3 gallons, so range is extended about 100 miles. I'd post a link, but the web site is long since closed.

The belly tank fuel line is 1/2". The R&M Works website is gone or down, didn't know that. I have the belly tank instructions from R&M Works, if you need them. Can e-mail as PDF. I got my belly tank used, the 1/2" line that it came with was flimsy, I went and got a 1/2" fuel line from a boat supplier. It's a lot thicker.

#15 fuel line from valve to tank is 9.5 mm / 3/8”. Measuring back from the rear carburetor crossmember, cut the hose at 5.25". Add to the 5.25” what is needed to reach what you are attaching to. I use FJ0308 fuel injection hose from Oreilly’s with fuel injection clamps.

Thanks, Avanti. Just what I needed. It has the FI hose on it now, but is apparently just too short, and bends too sharply to reach the belly tank. I'll probably add at least 6" to what I have, or get some silicone tubing that is fuel resistant, and more flexible.

Ordered some BUNA-N tubing, which should be more flexible than the high-pressure stuff that's on there now - it's only an air vent, after all.
