I'm taking the Valk to my dealers on Monday to have a fork refurbishment.
My plan was to just take in the forks themselves but I'm unable to remove one of them due to the fork bolt cap being so tight and I've mangled it a bit.
Knowing the price of these fork bolt caps brand new, is it possible to purchase chrome caps just to push on to the top to hide any blemishes?

Show Chrome Accessories 55-128 Fork Cap Cover https://a.co/d/bal8hBG

I have also removed several different generic sets of fork nut caps from Valkyries where the previous owner filled each cap with clear silicone and pressed them on, moulding/sealing them on top of the mangled nut.

Thank you.
They're not cheap but a lot cheaper than getting new fork caps, certainly.
At that price I presume they're metal and not plastic.
Just to double check, is there anything at all that will fit on top of a 15/16th" nut?

Valks are all metric - you need 24mm. BTW did you try to remove before loosening the top clamps we are all guilty.  SteveB

Thanks Steve.
Thanks for the metric info.
Yes, I tried to remove the caps before loosening the top clamps.

Try valkyrieparts.de they have new and second hand caps (part no 51450-MZ0-003) plus new covers if you want to go that way. Keep in mind you will not pay VAT in Germany (where they are based) but you will on import to the UK and a further 4% if the parts cost more than £135. I've bought carbs and a swingarm from them in the last few months, both used, both in good condition. SteveB

Show Chrome, Pro-One, Kuryakyn, Kewlmetal and several others all made caps for our Valkyrie's inverted forks. The VTX1800 uses the same caps and style of upper tubes (though they're different length) so you can use caps made for them as well.

This site is overseas, and the shipping is high, when i buy from them I make it a good shopping list.
The site has a lot of extra chrome that's difficult to find, including the caps your looking for.
