I have a Standard 2001.  Because i have added some chrome cover on the engine , the lock for the seat is some hard to get to. I'd like to place it somewhere else, f.inst inside the left side cover.
I am also thinking maybe i do not need a key lock here , but could use anything else.
Has anybody done anytging like this?

Maybe i can just leave the wire loose behind the cover and pull it to open release the seat?!

That's what I would suggest.

Put a ring on the end of the cable and let it hang there slightly hidden and out of sight!

The more direct the pulling the easier the operation!
