No it does not look right to me. I just do not know what it should look like. The idea of the wing going in front of the tank is different, might be good. I do know that the panel on the side doesn't look like it will work. Good luck with this one.

Rod, it appears you need to reverse the mounting position of brackets attached to the plastic. I just took these shots of mine, hope they help. Notice the difference....the wide end of those brackets go away from the post. OK, thanks John,I'll give it a try. The instructions are very vague.

They are definitely not installed the way they should be. Mine look exactly the same as John's. Sorry, I don't have a picture though.

Here is a couple more pics Hotrod. I love these things in cold weather, but in the summer, mine comes off!! .jpg) .jpg) I guess thats why they call them " opinions " ....My opinion on the Bakers is they work good in the winter but really shine in the summer getting some of that heat away from the rider. I've got Bakers on all three of my bikes and would'nt ride to the mailbox without them

The instructions were not very good and the pictures were just as poor. The bottom braces were marked left and right but the part I'm questioning is the outside wing, they could go either way and they were not marked so I'm not sure if there on correctly, anybody know? When I first put mine on I put them together like you did and it just didn't seem right to have that gap. I switched them and that was all it took to make them look like Smokin Joe's pictures show with no gap. The long part of the chrome bracket need to point toward the front of the bike and not rearward. If this doesn't clarify your question, respond back and I will take some pictures of mine and mark them to show you what I mean. Clint

The adjustable panel is upside down. Just take it off and turn it right side up.

I don't think they're upside down... look at the first picture closely, The "Air Wings" logo looks the way it should. If they were upside down, the logo would be too.

I think you have the wrong brackets. Look at your pic, then the next ones. See how much longer the metal piece is that attaches to the wings on yours, vs the other pics. Theirs are much shorter.

The triangle brackets attached to the "movable" deflector need to be interchanged. Move the top to bottom...bottom to top. The pivot point needs to be to the rear, not forward. That's what I meant by upside down. I didn't think about the logo. Sorry if that was confusing.

If you haven't already done so just swap them to the opposite sides and the logo will be correct and the gap will be gone.

Well I've tried every way possible and I've come to the conclusion that the dog leg bracket that holds the wing must be too long,It's 4 3/16" end to end and every way I try It don't look like yours. I can mount them withe dog leg going in towards my leg but that doesn't seem right. I'm going to call them.

I bet Baker sends you the same thing back again. I agree with Clint. Just unscrew the top and bottom round balls, then swap the panels to the opposite sides of the bike and you will be fixed up.

The brackets holding the plastic panel are mounted wrong. They need to be moved from top to bottom and bottom to top. I hope you understand what I mean. I looked at mine just a few minuets ago and mine have the same brackets as yours. Hope this helps.

Sorry but that wont get rid of the gap between the wing and the front shield deflector at all,the new brackets are 2" shorter, they said the ones I have are wrong.

Look at your picture, the pivot point is offset and I believe by moving the panels to the other side it will correct the space issue (just the outer adjustable panels) adn the logos will still be upright. If you have not sent em back, it won't take but a few mins to swap sides on the panels for a check.

2.JPG) I think Steve K and Clint have the answer. Forgive my photo damage. The triangle piece needs to point the opposite direction. Switching the triangle pieces only top to bottom would accomplish moving the panel closer to the vertical post and close the gap. Look at the pictures Alph posted. You can see the triangles point the opposite direction.

For comparison I took a picture of the wing bracket on my 98 Tourer. They may be mounted differently on the other models. I haven't removed the panel from the bracket since I've owned this bike. You can see it points the opposite direction as the one in question which would move the panel the length of the bracket. .jpg)

I just went out and swapped mine from side to side and took the above pictures both ways. I hope this helps you out. You must have gotten ahold of a new guy at Baker or he wasn't following what was going on. This only took me about 10 minutes Clint
