When a company provides great service, it should be noted. I have a Street Pilot 580 which went belly up on me after a couple of yrs. I contacted Garmin by email explaining the problem and they gave me a RMA #. I sent the GPS off late last week and a refurb replacement showed up today.

Two Thumbs Up for their customer service.

Yup... It's not if a product never breaks, it's what the company does WHEN it breaks that matters, since anything made by the hand of man WILL break eventually!

I'm on my third Garmin Zumo 550... I've beat the snot outta the first two... The first one was about a year outta warranty but they replaced it for free anyway, the 2nd one was so far outta warranty it wasn't even funny, but they replaced it for a token fee (Think it was around $100) anyway...

Big  cooldude cooldude cooldude to Garmin's customer service...

One caveat though - I was NOT impressed with their online or e-mail customer service... Had to pick up the phone and call 'em...

I had my Zumo 550 go on me and it was about a year out of warranty and they replaced it with a new one for free. They stand behind there product.
