Although I think that a taxi paint job should be on a bike that is designed to carry passengers. I think it would look better on a modified interstate with some luggage and comfy back seat.  That screams taxi to me. On a solo bike I'm not sure it is the right paint job, but what do I know.

Could be cool.

So which Valk are you going to repaint? Or are you going to buy another one for the new paint job? Grin

I don't like it.  The term garish comes to mind.

Tastes differ.  I actually didn't like the looks of your blue and white when you first had it painted, but it does grow on you.

Glad you looked it up. BTW, yellow would look good, and the checkerboard, maybe,  but the Harley's lines don't seem to line up right to me, jmho.

Well its not like I have the money to throw at a paint job right now anyhow. I've got several idea's for a paint job for the Interstate the taxi paint is just one of them. I was at a truck stop in Kentucky right before I painted my blue/white and saw a tractor trailer painted pretty much like I had it painted.

You know one of the reasons there are so many different colors and styles is that people like different things.  Do what makes you happy.  If I decide to keep my Valkyrie I am going the paint route also, but might go look at a used Wing this weekend and trade the 6 carb. nightmare off.

I would refer you to the urban dictionary for a proper definition.  Actually it is listed in the "Bobathesaurus" but there is only one copy of that. Grin

You'll be sorry if you trade the Valkyrie ...When you've seen one wing you've seen them all same goes for Harley unless they have a " garish " paint job they all look the same.VRCC member Razor bought a Valk that was'nt cared for and had carb problems as well he took them off cleaned etc. still had the issue .He got a carb bank from PinWall bolted it on and it runs like a new one.

Joe, I'm not a big fan of that paint job, but like said above, it's your bike, do what makes you happy.  I'm sure if you get it done, people will like it if for no other reason it's just different than any other Valk.

P.S.  Pasting the picture below for no other reason that to just be able to look at it again.   cooldude

Joe,

What about the colors out of the Confederate flag.  I mean don't paint it like the flag, but use them colors and come up with a design scheme.  With you passion for the civil war may be add some contrast.  I have been doing a lot of research on Civil War fabrics for a project and maybe you could look into that color pallett.  One of the largest smuggled in colors was Indigo (blue ink) because of where the plants were grown and the english dye houses.  Just a thought.  We could talk about it more next weekend if I make the trip.
