As of today, there are only 4 rooms left at the hotel (we have the whole motel blocked off). For those who may be first timers to Johnny's Motel...
The motel is located right off Hwy #3, just on the Eastern edge of the town of Grand Forks, BC. The town core is minutes away, with gas stations, liquor stores, grocery, restaurants, etc.

The backyard is grass, and borders on the Kettle River, and has several BBQ's in the backyard for our use

A number of the rooms have carports

There is a HUGE fully paved parking lot with lots of room

Preliminary schedule of events is as follows...

For those traveling from US Hwy 20 has construction happening now. 17 mile stretch from Nehalem to about Rockport their chip sealing the road.  What the condition will be in 2 weeks. Guess will see. Just wanted to share. Ride safe.

Great, Gord. Lisa and me will be heading there a day early, on Wednesday. Together with Lyle thre in Grand Forks, we've figured out probably ride route options for the Friday and Saturday...with Saturday's routes being shorter so everyone can be back for the main event and coordinate the BBQ supper. Everything else will more or less play out as in past years.

Arrived home.

No addition problems with the fuel delivery. But not fixed I'm sure.

Please sound in as you arrive to your destination safely.

Great time, thank you all for attending, and making another successful weekend.

ps: If you have any pictures from the weekend, that you wish for consideration in next years calendar, get them in quickly before it closes.

Home at 6:30. Smoke from Osoyoss to Abbotsford. Just west of Hope some trees at the edge of the freeway were smoldering and burst into flames as I was going by. Tire patch held all the way home. Enjoyed the company and the assistance from everyone with my flat tire.

Thanks again   :cooldude: :cooldude:

Lisa and I rolled in about 2:00 this afternoon, after a detour up to Lake Country to spend the night with our daughter and celebrate our granddaughter's 1st birthday :) :) :) Quite smokey towards Hope out to the #1 this afternoon, but of course our route to home from Hope to Kent/Agassiz on #7 was no problem...not a whole lot of smoke here on our side of the river.
A bit of sad news when we reached Lake Country yesterday around 11 AM...had a message on my phone from the hospital where my Dad had been admitted a few days earlier, that he had just passed away  :-\  A bit of a surprise at this time, although he had been having some issues and he was past his 94th birthday.
However...it sure was great getting together once again, and also great to welcome some real nice new attendees to our annual gathering! Once I take care of all the legal and family obligations regarding my Dad's passing, I'll post up a full report on Valhalla 2022. In the meantime......

Holy crap Mike, not news you want to receive after a great weekend of riding/event or at any time for that matter! My condolences to you and yours.

I got home last night at around 9 PM. Like most I suppose, thick smoke all the way and what was really weird, was it was worse here in Calgary......like fog.
Was glad to attend and was great to meet some really good folks. Thanks for taking the time to organize what I would say it was a very successful event!

I was chasing Dusty who left about 5 minutes before me, but I knew that would be fruitless. The short ride to Osoyoos was uneventful, but I'll have a longer ride soon when I return to Buckeye, Arizona.

We enjoyed being the newbies and are looking forward to the next event.

Donna and I are so sorry for your loss Mike.

Margaret and I took our time and arrived home safe and sound on Sunday :cooldude:. It sure was great sharing time with our old friends and making new friends . Mike, so sorry for your loss. Relieved to hear that Dusty and Gordon made it back without further incident.

Jess from VA

Sorry for your loss Mike.   Hope there's smooth sailing handling the estate.

Glad you guys had a good time.

Dusty

Sorry to hear about the passing of your dad, Mike.

It was great seeing familiar and new faces again. Although it was just for 3 hours...
Rode back through Kelowna and the Princeton-Summerland road.
Smoky for most of the way with 2 wildfires along the route.

Thanks Mike,

Here is a small lineup of the bikes that rode to Greenwood for a coffee.

enjoying the lovely food gotten by some of the ladies and cooked by a few, for Sat night dinner, prior to the start of the festivities, and them having to listen to me talk. With a full belly, they are less likely to walk away. Thanks Lyle for the lend of the fire pit, mine is working again after a regulator replacement.

Only a few pics, mostly repeats trying to get a good shot.

Anyone else post any pictures? I didn't take many, and would like to get some more.

I'm finally getting around to reading these posts and I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing Mike.

The ride back was a bit cool, cloudy & smoky so I guess it arrived at the right time!

Thanks to you and all the other guys and gals that made it such a great time.

We also lucked out with great weather, so what more could a person ask for other than a break on the
gas prices, lol!

See you all next time!

Just a little follow up on my bike. I barely rode it more then the Rally ride. So I never did look at the fuel issue I had.

Thanks again to all who stop and hung around long enough for Dusty and I to get it running back to Castlegar, where a vacuum hose and those snubbers got me back home.

Finally looked at my bike today, replaced the warn out line with some new 3mm silicon hose.

Took a little while to prime the carbs and get the bike to run, but it did. After it warmed up, it cleaned up a little, and didn't die on me at all. Seems it just needed new lines. Didn't need a petcock kit, no leak there.

Now just waiting on my insurance in the next week or so, so I can go out for a ride, and fill up the tank.
