I've rented one in Branson a couple of years ago. 

Honestly, they're not as fun as you might imagine.  Power was decent but nothing like our Valks and the seats aren't that comfortable.  I was underwhelmed to say the least and glad I got it out of my system. 

That's a cool look for sure though.

If I were in the market for something like the Slingshot, I'd probably buy a small sports car like the Mazda Miata instead. You'd get a similar experience with more practicality (far better top) for about the same price. I have to assume the Miata handles better.

I'd still need to have a lift chair for a front seat, it sits much too low. Kinda like getting down on the floor to play with my great granddaughter Lucy, take everything with you cuz you know you'll be down there for a while.

sat in a polaris slingshot ONLY once at a Polaris dealer, NEVER again.  Seat was way way way too skinny and NO room inside have to use the clutch and my legs were too fat to be even remotely comfy in it.  Also,  getting in/out was a workout all in itself VERY hard to do.  NO thanks. 

Been thinking, ONLY thinking, of a UTV but sat in a new can am commander and same thing, NO ROOM inside.  Too skinny not wide enough and needed 2-3 more inches of length for legroom to be comfy inside and seat was all the way back and I am only 5'10" tall.   I can sit ON TOP of my ATV plenty of wiggle room and sit higher up and easier get on/off vs. any UTV out there as well I think.

The Slinghot is a glorified go-cart.

Was stuck in dead still traffic on the Taconic State Pkwy where the road is a two lane narrow curving uphill climb.  We sat there for over an hour.  Turned out that a slingshot ran up on a slower moving vehicle and wound up under the vehicles rear end.   Was told the driver of the go-cart suffered a broken arm.  Looked worse when we go up to the scene.

I had tonight about these devices if I had to leave two wheel riding.  Seems like, from what I have read, the the Trike is still the best choice.

Next comes trips to town, food, drugs (prescription   ) hardware stuff.  We live about one mile from town on a reasonably nice road with a sidewalk 75% of the way from town to our house.  

So, taking one of our "vehicles" into town (2 miles round trip) sort of seems like overkill, hence the thought of something different something like the UTV but I would prefer a "convertible", two sitting side-by-side, an area in back for stuff purchased and maybe our dog on occasions.  

Just thinking about it.  One never knows and it does pay to plan ahead.

Truthfully, 3 wheelers with steering wheels, automotive drivetrains, automatic transmissions just don’t have any appeal for me even though they may be “fun” . Just go ahead and give me that fourth wheel. As “nice” as Goldwing Trikes are, a nicely done Valkyrie Trike is far more appealing to me in the looks department.

I am trying to find the movie that was produced in the 60's I think that had a three wheeled "Morgan" I think that was driven by the "star" in the show whose name also I cannot remember.

I bring it up because appears Morgan will have a new three-wheeler for 2022.

I bought this '92 Miata for the Mrs a number of years back for her 50th birthday. It had very low milage and was in great condition when I bought it...did absolutely nothing to it mechanically during the time she had it  except maintenance,  and a new paint job after someone backed into the front fender in a parking lot. She/we put over 90,000 km on it....I loved driving it (after shoehorning myself behind the wheel)...a real blast and it cornered at least as good as the Valk. She lost interest in it last year and sold it...I kinda miss it.

I had a diabetic friend who lost some use of his feet and traded his Goldwing for a CanAm. I get that. He was able to continue riding a vehicle that gave him a similar experience for several years.

The slingshot appears to be more like a car than a motorcycle, and not a very good car. I don't understand why I see so many on the road.

It was Peter Sellers and that may have been the movie.  In my minds eye I see him driving away from the front of the building. 

But the movie I was thinking of was the Pink Panther but it appears that he did not drive the three wheeler there. 

But thanks for the feedback.  It is good to remember things.

Peter Sellers drives a three wheel utility truck [into a pool] in Return of the Pink Panther (1975), but I do not believe it is a Morgan.

Its a funny thing.  In my "minds eye", as old as I am, I can see the dark three wheeler moving across the screen from right to left.  I cannot remember for sure it it was a full on view or not.  But I remember seeing the third wheel in the rear.  Ahh well, I know am pretty confident it was Peter Sellers and, again if I were betting, I would bet he was wearing dark clothes (ie. dark suit) but....
