This technology is much easier to produce than any EV solution, water is abundant, cheap and Hydrogen is easy to manufacture and can be used on all current gas motors and they will run better and what comes out of the tail pipe is water and oxygen, without a catalytic converter Wonder why they dont use it? convert a gasoline engine into a water engine NO MORE GAS | Motor with water instead of fuel https://youtu.be/JuxQLEDccsUOur Hydrogen Technology Experiments were carried out to evaluate the influence of the addition of HHO gas (hydrogen + oxygen obtained electrochemically from the water) to the air in the intake manifold of a direct injection diesel engine. What research shows is that the addition of HHO gas can improve the combustion efficiency process due to the different combustion properties of hydrogen in comparison to conventional fuels. https://www.hhoplus.com/

there has been a lot of info out there on using Hydrogen as a fuel. Problem is transportation. Existing pipelines and gasoline transports vehicle won't hold the hydrogen. It tends to make the metal brittle and has the ability onto move thru some metals.
Plus where are you going to get it? Making Hydrogen is expensive.

Let me see if I have this right. We have a reasonably clean transportation system using gasoline and diesel fuels. We have designs that produce CO2 and water vapor (yes there are a few other "gases" procduced but... they are sort of minor). CO2 is called a greenhouse gas but almost every plant, tree, green thing growing uses CO2 and produces O2 as a result. Maybe not a lot but...... So, more CO2 more green things. But wait, wait, wait, more green things mean more heat absorption or something like that. Cannot have that either. But wait, wait, wait, we can use EVs and we will have a larger need for fossil fuels . Of course we don't need fossil fuels for EVs we will use solar and wind Now we just need to get more EV charging stations. But wait, wait, wait, these EV charging stations are not being well maintained and don't always work So.... lets build more.. Just who is going to pay for the EV charging stations to be installed. Why YOU!!!!!!!!!! The Government will build and install then. In fact my local government is asking about that. I am going to ask them, who will pay for the installation (I know the answer and it won't be a private firm like a gas station would be). But wait, wait, we have to transition to EVs.... we have to. Just for the record, if all the cars in Germany today were made to be EVs the additional cost of the electrical capacity needed would only be $232 Billion. The EV notion is sort of like a conspiracy theory. All the information says that it costs too much, will never be able to meet the needs of the worlds population (think of driving across parts of Africa in an EV) But its "clean" energy. And that is one more lie. EVs are not clean energy unless they can only be charged from wind and solar power sources (and just think of the "bad" stuff produced in making solar panels). Just for the record, you want clean energy, take all the funding being used for wind and solar and build nuclear power plants. Yes they have some "waste" but it is easily controlled and stored. Far more easier stored then the discard lithium batteries from EVs. Oh, don't forget the next step. EVs will be equipped with sound systems so they will sound like "real" cars. Don't you just love it.....an EV with a another load for the sound system.

Yeah, just think...fill up the tank fromt the garden hose. You live in Boston and want to go to Sacramento. Ok, fill it with the hose, then on your way out of town stop to pick up a couple cases of beer. After a few beers you have to pee, so you stop and pee in the tank, get back in and go another hour or so. Stop and repeat. Heck, you could go from coast to coast without stopping except to relieve yourself. Robert, you know I'm not poking fun at you, just letting my addled mind(?) wander a bit.

I've wondered about hydrogen too, seemed like a good idea.
We do seem to be running out of water though, its going to be an expensive commodity.

It takes a lot of energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. In fact, it takes far more energy than it produces. It's easy, for sure. Just direct current, and something to make the water conductive. But those HHO generators made for cars will NEVER produce enough hydrogen fast enough to run the car. They don't even produce enough gas quickly enough to run a cox .049 model airplane engine. The generators are a scam, been proven time and again.

cannot make enough hydrogen without using fossil fuels. then vehicles will have to be much heavier to support the heavier high pressure tanks needed to hold the hydrogen.
another liberal, "physics, engineering, science," don't apply agenda.
using a low rpm small highly efficient diesel engine to run a generator to power electric drive motors at the wheels is the most efficient vehicle to have.
getting rid of the liberal environmental agenda to justify their jobs at the EPA, a two-stroke might be even more efficient due to the great weight reduction using that type of engine. much much research was done over 10-15 yrs ago on two-stroke car engines. manufacturers could never satisfy the epa since they want the exhaust cleaner than the ambient atmosphere. which is done to today with all of the electronics and reduces mpg by at least 10 mpg on the highway for every vehicle. epa keeps changing the ppm over the yrs to keep their jobs and funding.

Today if we didnt know about gasoline and had to get away from EV's and floated the idea of gasoline as an alternative can you imagine the outcry. We have no place to store it, its highly flammable, its toxic and the list goes on. Strange we have made gas part of our culture and it fits nicely the conversion to hydrogen could be done without any real changes in engine design, not to much infrastructure and it could effectively make cars cheaper and more powerful. Since catalytic converters and all the pollution stuff would not be needed. People could even make their own.
When gas cars came out people with horses looked sideways at cars and it took time to change a culture.
But since its wont cost much, can keep peoples freedom and allow free travel across the USA without taxes for carbon, I doubt it will fly. Tesla had made some fantastic machines and discoveries and I wonder where they are today.
You see the USA is one of the least polluting countries on the earth, even though they say we are just so bad. Plus it wont help if the rest of the countries do not follow protocol and stop polluting also. It also means electric cars can have a kill switch or they can be linked to the internet and not allow charging on a persons car if needed. Gas engines are much harder to do this with.
The other thing is how do you get older cars off the road since they are still in use, switch to electric so as to make all cars obsolete and unusable.

NO sources only quotes so I will fix the numbers for you from a legit sources These results have been taken from IQAir’s 2021 World Air Quality Report which was compiled using data aggregated from over 80,000 data points. IQAir is a Swiss air quality technology company, specialising in protection against airborne pollutants, developing air quality monitoring and air cleaning products. Top 15 Most Polluted Cities in the World 2021 Bhiwadi, India – 106.2 (PM2.5 average) Ghaziabad, India- 102 Hotan, China- 101.5 Delhi, India- 96.4 Jaunpur, India – 95.3 Faisalabad, Pakistan – 94.2 Noida, India- 91.4 Bahawalpur, India – 91 Peshawar, India – 89.6 Bagpat, India – 89.1 Hisar, India – 89 Faridabad, India – 88.9 Greater Noida, India – 87.5 Rohtak, India – 86.9 Lahore, Pakistan – 86.5 most polluted cities 2021 https://earth.org/most-polluted-cities-in-the-world/The biggest sources of air pollution around the world are from burning fossil fuels in power plants to generate electricity, including coal, oil and natural gas, as well to power fossil fuel-based vehicles and other modes of transportation. The burning process releases significant amounts of air pollutants, emissions and chemicals into the air and atmosphere. These air pollutants, namely nitrogen oxides, would often react to ultraviolet radiation (UV rays) from the sun and forms into smog, which poses higher risks of respiratory illnesses. Strange no listing of CO2 and you know why Mike because when you are looking at the chemicals in the air emitted from coal fired plants with NO burn generators on them like in the USA and diesel vehicles being mostly used without catalytic converters which the USA uses. NOT CO2 emissions, learn dont just quote and being snarky is annoying. https://www.iqair.com/world-most-polluted-citiesWorld's most polluted cities (historical data 2017-2021) Air Pollution in World: Real-time Air Quality Index Visual Map https://aqicn.org/map/worldhttps://www.iqair.com/in-en/earth?nav=This is speaking of CO2 a greenhouse gas, so green house, plants live in a green house, so maybe its not as bad as nitrates, and sulfur and other pollutants that actually kill. Another words you can live with excess CO2 without much harm and there is no proof that this is causing climate change and there is no proof of the amount humans give off in respiration and how it affects the climate. But the other heavy metals and chemicals given off by other unchecked sources in other countries is a major problem for them. In these emissions the USA is the cleanest country, like I said. Do you remember ozone, well were supposed to die from that, well it turns out that its ok now that the ozone layer is actually healed. As a last note China is probably still more polluted than any country but the Chinese are not going to let anyone in that bad mouths the country and tells the truth on things like pollution. If anyone is so concerned about CO2 pollution, I would say its time to be a stand up person and do your part and stop breathing so as to exit this earth and decrease the useless eaters and polluters on this earth, thank you. The NWO. I have started a company that will patent a technology that will converts mass amounts of CO2 to oxygen and water vapor. So if you would like to get in on the ground floor I would be happy to oblige.

NO sources only quotes so I will fix the numbers for you from a legit sources A handful of polluted cities don't count for much. We have no cities like those places. Air is 78 percent nitrogen and 21 percent oxygen. Oxygen is good stuff. But if the percentage of oxygen goes up too much the stuff some people are smoking is going to light them up like a roman candle. -Mike

I remember hearing that back in grade school. Sunlight and clean water are good for growing plants as well, if my recollector is recollecting correctly. So, the highest producers of CO2 get the "glory" on the medal podium? Looks like China gets the gold, United States silver and India bronze. Bravo! Those other countries better ramp up their CO2 production so there will be more of it around to grow stuff. Global food shortage ya know. https://yaleclimateconnections.org/2020/12/more-co2-in-the-atmosphere-hurts-key-plants-and-crops-more-than-it-helps/

From the link above.
By studying Earth’s history, scientists have learned that when there was a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere, the planet was hot. In fact, the last time the Earth had as much CO2 in the atmosphere as it now does was the Pliocene Epoch, more than 3 million years ago. At that time, Earth’s atmosphere was 3.6 to 7.2 degrees Fahrenheit warmer (2 to 4 degrees Celsius) than it is today. And global sea level was 50 to 80 feet (15 to 25 meters) higher.
I will bite...... how does that work. I mean if CO2 is bad and warms and does stuff and we have more people and stuff and cars and trucks and stuff and burn more stuff and ......
Why is the earth cooler today than it was 3 million years ago and why were the ocean levels 50 to 80 feet higher???????
What happened????

Yes there are. A year or so ago, I forget where I believe a small village was uncovered and found where once was feet of ice. The climate has been changing since the dawn of time. Ocean levels will rise and fall. What important is to work with nature not change nature or try to control it, that’s impossible. Clean air and water is good. If they want to do anything productive they should stop producing so many plastic drink bottles and clean up the mess in the Pacific Ocean to begin with.

While we're asking ancient questions, why doesn't Pangaea exist like it did 335 million years ago? What happened?
Yeah, the earth's climate goes thru phases. Industrialized man hasn't been around long enough to fully comprehend our impact on them yet.
+1 on cleaning up the oceans, BTW. We've polluted our oceans just as we've polluted our atmosphere. Humans should clean up their messes, but I'll bet we won't do a bang up job with either the air or the water.

GM had a hydrogen fuel project but it got canceled. We used gasoline to convert to hydrogen. It worked and no infrastructure improvements were needed. I have no idea why it was canceled.

I had forgotten about those cars. At the time they seemed a little far out but. Today. So, I did a search using the search term below. In reviewing three or four of these documents, I could not find any reasonable reason (when compared to what the cost/price/ etc of an EV is) why they were dumped except for the single reason that, it was not "a battery". The only other reason might be that they are a little more complicated than a "battery powered car". Here is the search term https://duckduckgo.com/?q=why+was+GM%27s+hydrogen+fueled+car+cancelled&t=h_&ia=web
