One of Dothan's finest was involved in a wreck while on his bike. Looks pretty obvious that someone didn't see him at all in broad daylight. The article doesn't disclose the cause but lots of recent wrecks around here are a result of driving while talking. More reason to ban cell phone usage while driving/wrecking. About every other person I see driving has a phone glued to their ear, even saw a big rig driver doing so today.

I've had a CDL for 20 years and have gotten pretty good at it. I cant see how they do it. Many gears, constant situational awareness, All the other idiots ya gotta drive for. The folks that think you can stop. sheeeeeesh. I saw a cop gabbin too.

Looks like the bike was on its side way before it hit the car. In the last pic there are only metal marks on the ground. By the looks of the handle bars he stayed with it to the end. When you get in trouble never give up, ride it till you crash.

We just got back from Lillian,Al. last night...It is a chore to drive !-65 for the cell phone drivers. On the way down 2 weeks ago we passed a kid on a phone running a little over 70 mph and she was also reading from something propped up on the seat and I just shook my head saying it was an accident waiting to happen.About 10-15 miles down the road a car was flipped on it's top in the median and traffic was stopped and we were last in line. All of a sudden we hear a roar and dirt flew everywhere and this same car missed the rear of our SUV by a foot and slid off in the median doing about 80 mph and slid sideways going by at least a dozen cars. She finally got stopped and the cars ahead us let her back in.Had she hit the back of us,I doubt any of us would be here...........I bet her butt chewed a hole through her clothes and seat then filled it up with sh*t.I hope the officer involved recovers from his injuries ....prayers sent.............JerryB.
