With GWRRA closed down, and my recent break down, seems that the Roadside Assistance program, which is why I was a member for mostly, is gone too. What replacements are there out there?

BCAA (CAA/AAA) is too expensive. When we had it, it was over $130 for one person, and another $36 to cover the motorcycle. That was maybe 10 years ago, I wonder what it costs now?

Maybe the new GW Eagle Riders might have the same option for their members?

I have AAA and can add motorcycle if desired. Check it out, not super pricey.

Check your insurance, most policies I've seen have a roadside assistance addon for not much money at all...

What Serk said.   I have "Tow In" on everything I drive or ride through my insurance company.   It's like $2.00 extra a month (IIRC).

I think auto and bike insurance is a lot different in Canada than here.

Yes it is different, but the added insurance for towing/breakdowns is readily available and relatively inexpensive as well.

Gordon...check out BCAA, they are not that bad. Also, if you go with Private insurance for your comprehensive/collision coverage instead of everything through ICBC, companies like Megson Fitzpatrick who I've been with for many years, give outstanding coverage including roadside assistance and towing...all at a good discount for riders who have at least 10 years experience on large displacement touring MC's specifically. I pay about $300 less than going fully with ICBC...and my old Valk is still insured at a value of $9500.00

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I hv AAA and use it for hotel discounts if my Gov rate wont work. Wing'd riders is replacing the GWRRA and is currently in negotiations with a towing package.
