So, what does the Second Amendment mean to you when someone breaks into your house and the police are a phone call and ten minutes away (assuming your call gets through)?

Musician Ted Nugent was interviewed by an Austin Liberal, Evan Smith, CEO of Texas Monthly.  I love the look on Smith's face during Ted's answer!

Can you believe this aired on a public broadcasting station in AUSTIN????

Spent some time with Ted Nugent at his place in Concord, MI a few years ago.  He was doing a reality show called "Wanted Ted or Alive" and I had brought in one of my lighting trucks and crew to facilitate the lighting.  First thing he said to me was that he loves to go to Austin just to kick hippie liberal's asses for fun.  That was after he found out I lived near Austin.  Anyway, ended up really liking the guy after just a short while.  He lives by his word and is not afraid to let you know just how he feels.  Besides that, he's a really great guy, a devout family man, an expert hunter and a blast to be around...never a dull moment!  Oh, and he can play the heck out of a guitar.

Ted took a liking to us "Austin liberals" and made sure that we went home with a "Crave Man" field dressing kit after the reality show wrapped...complete with a filet knife, bone saw and skinning knife.

One more thing:  I used to work at that public broadcasting station - KLRU...they still produce the music show "Austin City Limits".

I saw that clip again recently, as it's making the rounds via e-mail. I have to say, I agree with Ted as much the 15th time as I did the 1st time I saw it cooldude.

F-Stop, what a time that must of been, wish i could have been there, the funny thing about this board is we really never know all the people that we talk to when we read these threads. I wish our Liberal America would understand the blood that was shed to give us all this freedom to Rant even on this board, freedom is not free. without going to deep i feel just like Ted  cooldude thanks for your story.

Someday, maybe someday, this country"s leaders will wake up and understand Ted's thinking.

I've seen Ted 32 times. From 1974 to 2007. Never a bad show. Never a wrong comment. I'd elect him no matter what post he was running for and would nominate him for Homeland Security in a heart beat. Yup, dead offender. That just about sums it up nicley.

A few pics from that Job I did at Ted Nugent's place a few years ago...

This was the aftermath of a crossbow shooting contest for the contestants of "Wanted Ted or Alive"...Ted got to take the first shot!

Here's some of the lighting gear we hauled up from Austin.

We are actually leaving Ted's place after being there for almost a month...I'm on the far right...

I have plenty more pics, but need to dig them out...they're on a CD or hard drive somewhere around here... uglystupid2
