My 97 valk has, out of nowhere developed a noise at the clutch ,or sounds like the clutch. The other thing is, the clutch lever will not pull in all the way. When I pull the clutch lever I get the noise. This just happened today. Thank You for any and all information.

Sounds like some of the rivets gave way on the damper plate.

If the rivets are sheared, yes. It is not too hard to do. If you have a shop do it, it's not TOO expensive if they're a good shop. My friend had it done at a dealer for less than $500.

Had mine down two years ago...at the dealer...I think I paid around 7 hundred....but was leaving for a 4 day ride the next day....and well work...

New problem....no clutch to engage gears....
New fluids, bled and nodda....I know there could be a possible lingering bubble in there, but after 4 days of bleeding, what am I missing?

You have to bleed the clutch from the bottom up with a horse syringe from Agway.

Try bleeding at the banjo bolt on the master. I bled mine from the bottom with a Mighty Vac pump. The only bike I ever reversed bled was my Concours 14.

That was where the bubble was...at the banjo...disconnected from master, reconnected and added fluid and 5 minutes later....fully operational... Got our for a 2 hour test ride Friday afternoon....  |
