My wife and I arrived home last evening around 5:30pm from New Jersey.  We had a good trip, just too long (1420 miles round trip).  I rode the bike for about 10 miles and love it.  It was dark last night and today is dreary and rainy, so I will have to wait to post good pics.  I have a few changes to make before I will do any serious riding.  The windshield is only 12 1/2" tall and I will want to get a taller one.  It has heated grips that I will probably remove.  The rear passenger pegs are round stock mounted to extensions of some kind that I will need to change for the wife.  I do, however, love the pipes.  I have never seen these on a Valk before.  They are, I believe, Hooker Headers.  They have been welded to OEM headers and sound awesome.  They have attractive chrome heat shields with flames etched into the chrome.  Special thanks to mhallack (Mark) for checking this bike out for me and being there to help us load it and bless our trip home.

Good luck with the new bike Dave.....looks like a good find....if you decide to change the windshield I'll take the old one off your hands if you don't keep it.......those mufflers sure look alot like Super Trapps, I've heard them on valks and always thought they had a great sound, but they were always short and came out under the bags...I wonder if maybe they extended them somehow? Get out the polish and have fun... cooldude

Yeah, you can keep the bike, Dave.  I'm thinking about a tin swap with you, though, so I can bring that Yankee blue back up here where it belongs.
