I'm in the process of fitting a CB to my IS and want to mount the CB antenna like the original mounted. I've searched to find images or instructions with line drawings to help me with identifying exactly what it is that I'm looking for but have come up empty. I've been told that the GL1200 CB mounting bracket works fine but I don't understand how it fits the IS. Does the original Hondaline CB mount fit onto the end of the chrome trunk rail like the radio antenna, or if not how?

Yes, it does.

These folks: Oz Powersports have an Interstate on the lot with a CB and antenna.  The antenna is bent, but the mount is good if my memory is correct.

They're just down I-35 from you and me.

Mine is factory mounted.  Here is a pic, let me know if you need another angle.

Okay, so what I'm seeing is the CB antenna bracket slides over the existing trunk bracket. There appears to be two retaining bolts on the top: one that holds the trunk to the original bracket and an additional bolt that holds just the CB bracket to the trunk bracket. Is there a cutaway on the CB bracket that gives clearance for the helmet lock? If yes then I think I know exactly what I'm looking for now. I'll also try Oz to see if I can get an original bracket.

If you don't get an original, write me for the mods to the 1200 antenna mount.
This PIC is the 1200 mount and 1200 antenna on an Interstate.

They didn't even know they had it but Mike trusted that you knew! He found it and it's on its way. Thanks, Carl.
