Has anyone imported a bike from Europe?  If so, what needs to be done and is it worth the hassle.  Looking at a bike in England and wondering what the pitfalls are.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

It would have to be a very special bike for you to do that.
The bikes over here seem to be more expensive anyway. I envy you the choice you seem to have at very reasonable prices.
I paid £8500 for my Tourer with 12,998 miles on at the time. That was a top price though and I paid it for the excellent condition it was in. It's actually an American import,  though I didn't import it. The cost did include a Service and Delivery from dealer 300 miles away but it was still a high price to pay.
Your Customs Charges, Import duties and taxes would surely make it hardly worthwhile.
Another thing to consider is our climate.
Once the first frost appears on the toads in the UK, normally December, through to March  the salt goes down on the roads and we all know what salt does to the bike's fittings.
With bike's available in your "sunshine" States over there, it's a no brained for me.
Mine came from Georgia.

There's a fellow rider on our Facebook location that just back from Italy I believe. You can't miss the multi color pastel camo with Corbin Beetle bags. His name is Bill McCoy.
