I installed a Garmin Varia RTL515 Radar.   It detects vehicles out at 450 feet, has an app for the phone.  Some will say that's what mirrors are for, but there's been plenty of times I've looked in the mirror and surprised some is on my butt.  I like it, have the app on my phone, and blue tooth to my Cardo, you can here it with music playing.  Now I will get a phone mount so I can also see the approching on screen.  I tested it today and I like it.

That'll set off everyone's radar detector too won't it?   Grin

Chronic speeders use them, and they'll ease up when their alarm sounds.   cooldude

It would be great if it does, but the only frequency mentioned in the data is 2.4GHz, so not in a RADAR detector's range (normally).

I've used a couple of times now, it goes off "Ding Ding" when a care approches, then it tracks it on the app, (You need a phone mount to see the screen, or only sound) the sceen shows the vehicle until it passes you.   If I speed up faster than the vehicle behind me, then slow down, it will "Ding Ding" again, because it notices the vehicle coming up on me.   You really would have to try one to see how it works.  I like it.  Attached is what the phone looks like with the app, taken from the instruction sheet.
