I'm not fat enough to hibernate so guess I'll just have to put up with it. Not sticking to the streets which means it will be probably be slippery when it turns colder during the night. This will be my life the next 4-5 months, my friend Nancy says to just learn to love it. I told her that's like the old saying "learn to love the bomb."  Wink

If it's any consolation, no snow but it's 41 and raining here in The Republic.....

Is it spring yet?

Is it spring yet?

Maybe not Spring in the Fraser Valley here in BC, but pretty darn nice with clear skies for the week and...up to 8-9C (48 F) by late morning.

How I  "Winterize" my two old Hondas......

The Valk usually goes off the road from sometime in November to March 1, when she gets annual maintenance done or any issues addressed, and a lot of detailing...all made easier now with the new lift. For all but a couple of the 21 years I've owned her, the only "Winterizing" I've done in terms of storage other than fluid changes is to hook up the battery tender, fill up the tank with fresh gas and run her at least a couple times a week

The OldWing is easier and a lot more fun to Winterize...just 5 easy steps:
1. Slap on the windshield
2. Put the liner back in my Jacket
3. Dig out my thin Merino wool longjohns
4. Switch out my half helmet to my fullface
5. Go for a nice day's ride when road conditions allow  Smiley

Yeah Dennis, was 22 this morning when the rooster crowed. Doesn't appear to be sticking much to the roads yet, but is getting more and more slushy.

Speaking of crowing, I saw a video of a guy working on the boat docks and a bit perturbed with his sister. She had promised to help but was recovering from too much night life the night before and was sleeping it off laying in their pontoon boat. So, big brother caught one of the nearby roosters, put it on board, untied the boat and shoved it loose...watching it float to the middle of the small lake. The rooster crowed, little sis about filled her bloomers...and turned the air blue. Big brother had a good laugh. Still wasn't as funny as when I sewed my little sister's underwear together. She was a PITA most of my life and especially as a teenager, so I decided to get back at her. She couldn't lock her bedroom, I could mine. I asked mom if I could borrow her sewing machine, she mistakenly didn't ask why. On every clean pair of my sister's panties I sewed the crotch up and onto the waistband. Mom was slightly amused but warned me of paybacks which I was OK with since I had a room in the basement and a double bolt lock on the door. She pretty much left me alone from then on, and even cleaned up her act when my "lover dujour" called and she answered the phone.  angel

Sitting here looking out my window.  It's 19 and very clear.  Can see Mtn. Shasta, about 70 air miles way, shinning in the new morning sun.   Supposed to get above 40 by 1 or so.  May go for a ride then.   Its been several days since the last snows and after lunch the frost should be off most of the roads.

Not snow, but dang nippy, and I just got back from riding down to my good mechanic (1.5 hours one way) to drop a bike off.

Had all my textile insulated gear on; purchased when I was somewhat heavier, so it flaps in the wind.   Grin

The old enlarged prostate with urgency is especially fun in the cold.  You stand in front of the porcelain and begin to unfasten the heavy gear, long johns, yada, and you have to tell your prostate.... WAIT, NOT YET BUDDY, WAIT UNTIL THE SNAKE IS OUT BEFORE DRAINING!!!   2funny   It doesn't always listen.

Smiley  you had to say SNOW word.  Came home after 6 p.m. from work tonight and no joke whiteout conditions for about 3 miles unable to see more than 30 ft in front in the dark is NO fun tops 40 mph on hwy.    Was weird though how total blizzard out coming down buckets and like a snap of the fingers a few more miles down the road COMPLETELY STOPPED snow 100% clear again.
