Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

My brother had a '67 GT500 Shelby back in '69.  He paid around 6 grand for it.  Back then, that was a hugh amount of money for a car.  It was the british racing green color.

It would smoke the tires is all four gears.  It remains to this day the most badassed car I've ever driven.

I know he wished he'd never had sold it.

you don't want to drive a car like that...it needs to be handled with care.

Yeah, perzackly what I told my wife whislt we was a-watchin' the Barrett-Jackson
last week. I'd rather have a reproduction than the original so I could drive it and
not be worried about a cell-phone driver whacking it on the side! All those with
low mileage, matching #'s, original paint etc are great, but there's a great injustice
in having a machine like that sitting in a climate controlled garage and never (rarely)
seeing the light of day. It's like having a Valk and never riding it!! cooldude

That's the sad thing about most those cars you see go across that block. You won't see them again for 5 or 10 years. They won't be driven on the streets, you won't see them at the local car show/meet. Its such a shame to see automobile history stashed away in a warehouse. How can somebody spend that kind of money and not enjoy it?

Had a 67 Coup, built 289 back in the 70's. I am selling my 911 two many cars wife said enough!! i bought this 2006 GT 2 years ago in VA, though it is stored  just until spring, it has never seen SALT and i will wait for some good rain to clear the roads. Ford nailed it on the 5th generation mustang retro 60's look, 'had to buy it', 300 hp 5 speed upgrade premium package car all leather 24.000 miles on it now. it sure does take the corners better than my 67 it has the Ford racing exhaust on on it. i will miss the 911, their is just nothing like a true American muscle Car. http://cars.about.com/od/ford/fr/jf_06stangconv.htm
